Eye cream like La Prairie
      #405995 - 11/06/2009 15:08

I had a small sample of La Prairie Cellular eye-cream. It was really good and moisturising, plus it made the skin on my eyelids even-toned and glowy.

Has anyone tried any other cream that makes a noticeably good effect?? I've used Simple, Nivea and Garnier which were all OK but didn't have the skin-glow effect that I'm looking for .

Hello MariaE

Oh how I would love to try ths La Prairie eyecream - I bet it felt divine and as you say it had a noticeable effect, did you just put a little under the eyes or over the brow bone as well ?

I have to admit I havent used an eye cream for months now !

Lillie, I used a baby bud to eke this cream out!

I put it on the whole of the top lid and just underneath the lower lashes. It felt really nice and it did make a difference (and I'm usually a terrible old cynic about these things).

I saw some at Heathrow airport last year - it was over £70.

Does anyone know of an eye cream that really helps minimise bags - or do I have to save for surgery? Don't think I could stand the surgery and certainly don't want to look like some of stretched ladies, and men, you see.

I have tried just about every eye cream including one which cost £135 , which name escapes me at the moment but got it from Space NK, anyway it didnt do any better than the ROC eyepen at £20, havent tried the Garnier version yet but might get it for my holidays.....
However after all this I have now decided to have surgery and am booked for end of year, really believe the only way to get rid of excess skin is to have it removed....so a new me for the New Year

I wondered how much it would cost in the shops too. And what shops stock it.

Must be lovely to have your skin feel like that

Hi Ladies.I have the La Prairie eye cream-not sure which one,but it was about 90 pounds I think.I too think it is very good.I have to be honest,I don't have any creases about the eyes yet, just some tiny crows feet when I laugh, but I use it as prevention. But the pot lasts AGES,you only need a weeny bit,and I use it on brow bone also-it really "lifts" the whole eye area.Maybe some friends could chip in for a Debenhams card for bday or xmas pressie and then treat yourself? It does seem awful to spend so much on something so trivial, but my OH always gets me a Debenhams card at xmas, and then I can browse the make-up stands and splash out on stuff I wouldn't usually buy for myself.Oopsi.

I hear that celebs use haemarroid cream around the eye area to reduce wrinkles- its used as a quick fix, so nothing permanent but for a couple of pounds its a much cheaper option. Just dont tell anyone!!!!
