Hi Blossom
I use the 'complete care' range by 'olay' it is reasonably priced £3.49 from Wilkinsons , but boots sell it too, its great for my sensitve skin and has spf15, it is dermatological tested and dosen't clog pores, worth a try.

Bloss I would suggest you start using L'Oreal Factor 50 Facial Sun Cream to stop the sun damage getting worse.Boots had it on 2 for 1 offer a couple of weeks ago so it may be still on.
Bio oil might help with the other problems.
I've just started using Environ AVST,but it is about 27 Pounds so don't know if that is too expensive.I'm also using Retin A at night, only available on prescription.I get a private prescription and ,using both of these products ,I've seen a difference in 4 weeks. If you are interested in Environ pm me.

Hi Bloss, your skin has three basic needs. Cleanse ,tone and moistures.
If you have large pores you may be more oily than combo? You need to cleanse,a wash off or tissue. Then tone nothing to strong then you moistures,(only on the dry areas)not if your forehead, nose and chin are oily. Also keep out of the sun, use a good sun cream. I use Lize Earl but if thats to expensive Boots own brand are very good.

Try drinking more water too. Plus I would also recommend Bio oil (as above) and never go out without a high factor sunblock on your face.

Not sure bio oil would be good for combination skin, just an opinion, dry yes, it is used for people with scars.

I have combination skin and open pores and rave over Avons solutions ageless results. It has am and pm skin cleanser and moisturiser, plus an added eye cream, my skin has never been better and make-up glides on and it is non-greasy. I obviously use the one for geriatrics.............daughter uses the youthful one.

It really is trial and error though and I have made many errors, this just works for ME....!!

Hi

I have the same skin as you Blossom, but as yet haven't found any products that I'm happy with, so I too have been interested in the recommendations.

Dec - I'm very interested in finding out more about the products you use. Can you tell me more? Did you get the retin a prescription from your gp or a dermatologist?

A couple of months ago I discovered Superdrugs own brand vitamin E oil, it is the best thing I have ever used on my neck, really good results very quickly and lasting and cost under £3, a little goes a long way.

I use Boots cold creme to cleanse, apply gently and remove with damp cotton wool, then tone with witch hazel, Cheap and very effective.

Hi Blossom
I had a facial recently, and the beautician kept emphasising the importance of exfoliating as well as the usual cleanse tone and moisturise. I must admit when she had finished with me my skin did look much better. Have been trying to keep it up since, she recommended a couple of times a week. You could use a scrub or a facepack. I did enjoy the facial, but there is nothing more demoralising than a 20 year old with perfect skin telling you off for not looking after your skin!!

I dont think you can go wrong with Boots brands. Recently I have been using the day and night cream from Aldi. It came out top in a test that some Sunday newspaper did.

It is ok, and very cheap £1.89.Definately worth a try.

As above, Vitamin E capsules, take one every day with water and pierce another with a pin and smooth on clean skin at night. Before a month is out, you feel feel and look so much better.

Another thing for the body is e45 moisture bath Leaves you completely moisturised. Use twice a week.
