A holiday in October
      #398254 - 28/05/2009 03:25

We are trying to find somewhere to go on holiday in October. Have already been this year so we dont want anything too expensive. But we do want somewhere warm.

I dont fancy the Canaries again.

Anybody got any bright ideas of an October holiday - warm - not long haul.

Well to be honest we are desperate now, so any ideas at all would be wonderful

We are going to a very nice hotel ...a bit off the beaten track in Rhodes....we have been before at that time of the year and the weather has been lovely ....we dont usually go back to the same place twice but ,like you , we wanted warmth and were a bit stuck....we go on Oct 3rd!
PM if you want name and details...
Good Luck!
xx

Tunisia is very nice, Port El Kantoui rather than Hammamet. Have to put up with hassle from shopkeepers though.

I would check out Madeira, Marrakesh or even Sharm el Sheikh. All warm at that time of year. Depends what you want really. PM me if you want details.

I think october is a lovely time to go anywhere, especially at the beginning of the month. Southern Spain is a lovely temperature and think the Balearics are okay. Avoid the half term holiday and it will be very peaceful and the prices will be good.

My MIL went to Turkey last November, the weather was still lovely and warm, so maybe worth a visit

I went to Tuscany last October half term and it was lovely. Warm and pleasant. I would imagine Cyprus would also be nice too, although I've only ever been in the height of summer.
