Just got back from a hastily booked week in Lanzarote and what a lovely surprise we had !! Absolutely exhausted my husband and I needed to escape for a week and wanted some warmth, but weren't really keen on the idea of Lanzarote ! Booked Holiday Village Tropical Sun in Playa Blanca and totally loved it. We had All Inclusive but in an apartment which was brilliant. The food was lovely, the staff were so helpful, apartment spacious and airy and the resort was so classy. Beautiful Marina at one end and you could stroll for a mile or two with lovely shops and restaurants to a harbour where you could get the ferry to Fuerterventura. There were lots of children there but as it was term time they were only small and they made us laugh ! Escaped in the afternoon in car to see the island. Entertainment was dire ! But hey you can't have everything !!! Especially as we only paid half price for the whole holiday. There are plenty of other hotels and apartments in the resort and I can highly recommend it.Can't wait to go back !!

Glad you enjoyed it Carolyn.
My OH and I have now been just twice, once to Playa Blanca and once to Costa Teguise. We loved both visits. OH retires in December and we plan to go back to Costa Teguise for maybe 6 weeks renting a friend's apartment. I like to feel the sun on my back in the winter.

Just back from Lazarote myself! We have a time share in Porta del Carmen We've been going there for 17yrs and can honestly say NEVER had a bad holiday.
It's been fun watching the island grow....Playa Blanca was very much a one horse town 17yrs ago!!!! with no marina and very few shops...now it's beautiful

Hello Carolyn
Glad you had a great time. We stayed in a fantastic villa in Playa Blanca (just by the lighthouse) at Easter for 2 weeks and had a brilliant time. Found some wonderful restaurants and did loads of exploring. Could bore people for hours talking about Lanzarote (and probably do!) and we are going back next Easter.
Kez x

I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday.. it's always good to come back and be really pleased with your time away. I've looked up your apartments on the firstchoice website.. they look lovely. I'm seriously thinking about this place for my holiday in the summer. Thanks very much!!!
