Looking through the Keyhole of My Childhood home....
      #299165 - 06/01/2009 20:52

My Mother and Father bought my Childhood home when i was 18 Months old,I lived there untill i was approx' 22 however my Mother only sold it a few years ago....

We were unable to keep the house for one reason or another. It was a beautiful victorian house on 3 floors with high ceilings, deep skirting boards not to mention the original Dado rails and ceiling Roses.

In some ways i was not sorry to see the back of this house however its a bizare feeling to "look inside" again.

Take a look.

Summer,

What a beautiful building, I would love a house like that, they have such high ceilings, and character.

What a shame that your mother had to sell it. I bet it holds so many memories for you.

Plasmo x

Hi Summer,

Wow, you've just taken me back 13yrs, had a house just like yours. I loved it, a proper family home, but when the family left it went straight up for sale!! We were out in 4 wks!!! Could,nt wait to get away from cleaning, used to take all week-end! Now in my bumble box - 2 bed bungalow- lovely.

Thimble its very modern now but the Guy that bought it was loaded!

Its very strange to see it on the inside,it even has a pic of my Bedroom.

My MOther sold it without a backwood glace ,a real shame really ...

I do wish we could have kept it in some ways Plasmo.

In many ways i am lucky, but maybe not, because my mum sold her her house to my son! My mum never liked the house but my s loves it! Him and his partner have modernised it and put their mark on it, but i have very fond memories it. Sometimes when i visit it feels strange other times not -
Mum also left without a backward glance.

Hi Summer, it's a lovely house, you were lucky to grow up with all that space. I've lived in a similar house while my 4 children were younger and loved it. Don't know if I would love the heating bills now though.
