Bel,
That Jean Muir frock would be worth a fortune now, I never had any of Mary Quant's dresses, just her makeup, and the boots. It could well have happened that some of us were in Bibas, Im getting all nostaligic Bel, and I do remember the little crochet hats.

I remember wearing tapestry hotpants to a disco and we had suede fringed waistcoats and long pvc boots with a pvc cap to match. With long straight hair and eye makeup from Biba. We thought we looked the bees knees.

I loved my micro mini dresses and skirts. My dresses were in silky floaty material and I loved them. Felt very feminine. Also lots of stilletto heel sandals. I am told that I had fabulous legs!!! Not by the girls I hasten to add............
I didn't wear boots as I didn't like them and still don't really although do have some M&S suede pull on ones for best.
Do you remember the crotchet dresses....use to wear them with a full bra petticoat underneath.. I loved them and wore mine week in and week out............oh the memories come flooding back.

I had a pair of pale blue suede boots with fringes in the 80s which I loved. Also loved all the New Romantic stuff - lots of velvet and ruffles but don't think I would wear it now!
Also loved my Clarks Nature Treks which everyone was wearing one year when I was a teenager.

I used to wear loons with cheesecloth tops with embroidery on them. I had black suede boots and pink suede hot pants which I use to wear with a black maxi coat on top.
I loved fashion then and I still do. I used to have a petrol blue Biba cloche hat and lots of Biba tops with the wide sleeves which had drawstrings at the wrists. I still have a black and silver top from Miss Selfridge.

I used to love wearing mini-skirts and I can remember a gorgeous black silk dress with vaguely Russian embroidery at the neck and hem - I felt really sophisticated (probably didn't look it, though). I loved the Dr Zhivago look.
I even had some black cord hotpants which my boyfriend (now OH) bought for my 19th birthday. I worked in a hotel as a receptionist at the time and was showing them off to my colleagues, when I was told off by the boss, who said "this is a hotel, not a fashion parade"! Wish I still had the legs to wear them now!
My D, who is 30, is always telling me off because I didn't keep all my 60's/70's clothes!!
