Mine was Mark Lester, who played Oliver. I was planning on marrying him!
Later, it was still Mark and Donny Osmond.

When I was really, really young it was the lead singer from Hermans Hermits - was it Peter Noon? I used to think he was singing to me when they were on TOTP (I was only about 6 at the time)then I progressed to Donny & David

Hi Everyone,
There used to be a TV programme when I was a teenager called "Rawhide", Clint Eastwood starred in it, but the chap I fancied was Eric Fleming, his sidekick, never saw him before or since this programme, but remember how much I liked him.

I thought Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates was the sidekick and Mr. Gil Favor played by Eric Fleming was the trail manager. My mum liked Wishbone - the cook!

He was indeed Loo: have to shamefacedly admit that one of my first 45 records was Rawhide by Frankie Laine... now tht is really sad!
How about Cheyenne Brodie and Will Hutchins as Tenderfoot, Laramie, Wagon Train. Where have all those great Saturday night westerns gone.

Plasmo, I was just wondering why we'd never heard of Eric Fleming after Rawhide, so googled him, to discover that he died in 1966 at the age of 41.he drowned whilst filming in South America.

Apparently, my first crush was Dickie Valentine - a singer in the 60s. I was only a nipper so I think my parents decided that.
But my own first crushes were Donny Osmond, David Cassidy and David Essex. I remember seeing David Essex in concert dressed in a white silk suit! He looked so handsome.

Like most of you in my teens I also had a crush on Donny Osmond and David Cassidy, but I preferred David Cassidy's records. Even all these years later I still love to hear `How Can I Be Sure' and `I think I love you' - what a sexy voice!
I also remember liking the actor who played Steve in Follyfoot (remember that programme?!)

Promise not to laugh...
Well, I never fancied actors, wasn't sure if I was in love with them, or the role they played. I was never a pop music fan, and although I loved music, discos, etc, I never really fancied pop stars.
I loved men who were clever, witty, charming. And at 14, I was madly in love with one man on TV who was just perfect! Clever, witty, not a spotty long-haired oik. I was in love with.................David Frost!
Closely followed by our local MP, who just happened to live nearby. Bet nobody else was in love with Teddy Taylor!
