DAY 281 ... THINK LIKE A THIN PERSON
      #297047 - 05/01/2009 10:02

Good morning Flabuless Forumers, on this first weigh in day of 2009.

Surprise, surprise (as Cilla would say), I've put on weight! It's no surprise at all of course, so what am I going to do about it? If a thin person puts on two or three pounds they will immediately think about taking it off again. As a fat person I used to wait until I'd put on two or three stones! Not any more.

The Flabuless Forumers group was started nine months (281 days) ago to encourage those of us who wanted to follow the method set out in the "I can make you thin" book and CD by PMK the well known hypnotist. I'm now a stone and a half lighter, but it would have been nearer two stone if I hadn't put on weight over Christmas and New Year, when I stopped following the rules.

Rule 1: Eat when you are hungry.

I broke this one many times over the past fortnight. I ate food because it was there, because it was Christmas, and because someone had made it or bought it for me.

Rule 2: Eat what you want.

Again, sometimes when I'd have been happy with a bowl of vegetable soup I ate some "goodies".

Rule 3: Eat consciously and enjoy every mouthful.

Was anyone else distracted over the Festive Season?

Rule 4: Stop when you think you are full.

Hands up all those who ate until they were stuffed. OK maybe that was just me.

It wasn't the system that stopped working, it was ME! But actually I quite enjoyed my Christmas, and it's not the end of the world so back on the wagon girls, and onward and downward (scales wise). Happy New Year, Sella.

Hi again Sv

I hold my hands up to breaking all those rules but the differance is I am ready to get back on track now - Normally I'd be thinking and worrying about it until spring when a mad crash diet would prevail.

The first of my Brand New 90 Days starts today!!!

xx

Hello Sella Vee, Gilley and every one else,

I'm still shocked for the first time in years I have not put on weight just stayed the same!!!!! Tis all the frog marching OH and Springer Spaniel have taken me on, and cooking for the five thousand!!

Alas after Xmas seems to be my worst time, the lbs pile on so I shall try soooooooo hard and think like a thin person!!!

Twinkle x x x

Hi Sella, Gilley and Twinkle - As I posted on Gilley's post, I have put on weight, which is disappointing but not unexpected. As Sella so rightly said, it wasn't the System that stopped working, but ME! I didn't work with the System in the way that I should have. I enjoyed my Christmas as well and didn't really overeat - it was more that I indulged in more rich food than I wouldn't normally eat and ate much less in the way of vegetables and fruit, etc.

Well done Twinkle - I guess all that exercise and entertaining was the answer! I did neither, so perhaps that partially explains my gain.

Thanks for reminding us of the rules, Sella Vee.
I think most people do go by the wayside where healthy eating over christmasis concerned, so we shoouldn't beat ourslves up.

I have started this morning with the golden rules and I am now just of out for a walk.

Well done, Twinkle, for not gaining. Keep up the good work.

gilley, I think you're right in that this year there is a difference in the way we are thinking. We're not just worrying about it, we're doing something about it, and as blossom says, there's no need to beat ourselves up.

Alex, if you're doing more entertaining, let us know and we'll all come round yours for a party !!

You're right Linby - we do all sound positive this morning, despite our gains.

Sella - you're welcome to come to mine for a party - but it'll be a salad, veg. soup, etc. kind of party. Is that ok?!

Good afternoon everyone.I'm delighted to say that my weight has stayed the same.Like Twinkle I think all the walking I did on holiday must have had a magical effect on me.
I felt that I was overeating, because I was,I was eating whether I was hungry or not but my OH tells me that I was leaving a lot more on my plate than I realised. He put on 5lbs,mainly by eating my leftovers!
However, staying the same means that I have not lost any weight over the past month so like everyone else I'm determined to make a big effort to really get in shape and to increase my fitness levels.
I heard R. Conley say in the past that the extra weight people put on over the holidays will go quickly if they immediately take action to do something about it.According to her it won't have had time to be converted to fat and is therefore easier to get rid of.I don't know if that has any scientific basis but it is at least a positive thought to start the year with.

Alex, what date did you say the party was? I don't eat meat so you will make sure you have something for me won't you?
I'll have just a few of Sella's millionaire nibbles if that's ok? You are inviting us all aren't you? That's so kind of you.
Decx

Hi all, I posted on the other thread. I put weight on, not suprising considering the ammount I ate and the lack of exercise, soooo I start again.
Congrats to all who either stayed the same of lost.
I have a weeks holiday and I will be going out and walking. The pedometer is dusted off and will be used!

OK Ladies, the party's on - Fabuless and Flabuless, as you said Sella - although a bit of a shame your millionaire's bits not being quite as they were! Haven't set a date yet, Dec. Of course you can come to my party, Twinkle.

Oh thank you Alex, I've just crawled up the stairs after getting back from the heath with springer spaniel again, he's lying by the fire with an expression of no more walkies today!! How long do you think I can keep this up for?

Only time will tell!!

Hi everyone
Sella_vee, thank you for reminding us of the rules. You are so right - the system is good! I keep reminding myself that I've lost 1.5 stones since August AND I haven't been dieting!

You all sound really positive and looking forward to a fabulous, flabuless new year! My resolution is to drink more water and get serious about exercise.

As I said on gilley's post, I have stayed the same - I am so chuffed as I didn't stick to the system as well as I should have. I think my stressful December has had a lot to do with it!

Alex - the party sounds fab, can I come too?

Party, party, did someone say Party?

Just the inspiration i need, so thank you Alex P, can I come pretty please, i promise to be good, I take my shoes off at the door.

I was really fed up when i posted ont he other thread, put on 4lb, and let myself down tonight by nibbling, but the thought of a party has perked me up no end. so new start tomorrow.
Off to bed, to think myself slim.

BQ x
