For those of you who enjoy reading.....
      #294164 - 02/01/2009 09:51

I've just found this great site on which to buy and sell second hand books. I love reading and get through a huge number of books so I'm going to join up. I thought it might be a useful link to pass on to others

Thanks for that.....I also have a few books that I want to sell so might give them a go. Cheaper than buying new especially when they are books you don't want to keep. Once you have read them you could probably put them back up for sale.

I have bought and sold books on ebay. Only problem with selling is that I need my sons to put the information on for me as I haven't a clue how to.

Thanks for that link Carol, its always good to have another outlet. I buy a lot from Amazon & sell back loads too, I've even sold some books in the last few weeks that are from my bookshelf from the early 90's!! Its the only way I can feed my book obsession & not go broke

Thanks for that link, which I will add to my favorites.

If buying a new book I always check out http://www.bookkoob.co.uk/ as it gives you the best price taking postage into consideration.

Another alternative is a bookswap. We have one of these at work, basically it's a bookshelf where you put any books you have finished with (others do likewise)and you/they help yourselves to anything that you fancy and return it once done.

My pal gets hers off ebay and there are local freecycle groups too.

Green Metropolis is great for buying and selling books.
There are no charges or fees for listing books for sale. They pay you £3.00 for every book sold (plus any postage payment if it’s a heavier book). All their books cost just £3.75 to buy, of which they pay £3.00 to the seller and 5p to the Woodland Trust.
