Lillie its a good job MT has gone to bed or she would be posting on here like a shot!LOL
I have never had flatulence in my life.........
Why has my nose just hit the screen???
Try having a glass of water before you eat, rather than drinking it during the meal, I've heard that helps. Or try those Actimels they are meant to balance your gut. Or maybe you are just eating too much roughage!

Quick, while OH isnt looking! He needs to avoid too much wheat especially white bread eg baguettes, and also pasta. Much better with wholemeal bread and pasta. Better still with rice or potatoes instead.

All the usual suspects are also very 'good' for you!!! sprouts/leeks/onions/tomatoes(Especially good for men/prostrate probs). So difficult to avoid. We eat all wholemeal bread and pasta but I can't say we never suffer the problem!! As all animals seem to have the same unsociable behaviour!!! maybe we have to learn to live with it?? Is the answer a face mask?? LOL

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Depends on what you eat too..... It does become a problem though when the previously vertically positioned curtains in your neighbours' houses take on a horizontal position, and change colour.... as well as when your neighbours need ear plugs to lead a normal life..... Beyond that I would not worry too much. Even we ladies do "IT"! LOL!!

Why am I not surprised that this thread is still going?
And I see Mangetout has found it!
Good to hear you are flatulence free this morning Lillie, however, the day is young.

Option 2- my ex did that to entertain me just after we'd met, but no lightning, he just blew the match out. That's why he's an ex- not entertaining enough!

There is only one foolproof answer.
Open a bottle of nice wine. Pour into crystal glasses, and enjoy every sip.
Put the empty bottle in the recycling bin, and use the cork to......

I am afraid since being diagnosed with diverticulitis the "Wind" problem has become very very embarassing! When I cough or sneeze I just don't know what to do first.............get a hanky out, find the nearest loo for a wee or apologise like a lady "oops pardon me". Sometimes I just blow my nose and pretent it was someone else on way to loo!!!!!! My son howls with laughter when I get a cough....hacking one end and popping noises the other end................he finds it very hilarious. Can't say I do. Alright indoors but in company............very red cheeks.

Erm. I have read a very good "bowel" book which says that although it is embarrassing flatulence at least shows that there is movement which always a good thing in the digestive tract. I can recommend a visit to a health food shop and try some of their remedies. Prebio 7 is excellent and is recommended to be taken if you have had a course of antibiotics. Take a whole course (read the instructions) and you will be amazed by the difference. There are cheaper capsules on the market but I have read that quality is all important because thousands of the live bits in them do not survive the stomach and therefore you need to have millions. Sorry about the product placement but I have found this item to be really good.
