Thanks for the recommendations - I have just bought one (Braun Silk Epil) and used it on my legs and it was fine - didn't hurt nearly as much as waxing. Hopefully it will last a few weeks and I hope to save on my waxing bill! x

Hi rungirl

Just looked at Amazon for one of these are there are so many, do you mind telling me which 'model' you have. Thank you.

Hi Shellseeker

I bought a Braun Silk Epil Xelle. It was about £48 in Boots (although I used up my Boots points so got it for free!) There seemed to be a number of different models at different prices and I didn't know what the difference was so went for a mid priced one. I think some of the more expensive ones had razors as well.

Hope this helps! x

I bought one!!! Used it on my legs and thought OK that wasn't too bad, then decided to try underarm .... OMG - IF I try that again it will be after a few gin and bitter lemons .....!!!!!!

Hi girls! I've used mine twice now...underarms as well!!! I really didn't find it too bad at all but I think i may not be very hairy anyway!

Haven't quite progressed to the bikini line yet...I'm trying to pluck up the courage for that one!

Did you girls who bought the Braun silk xcelle (the one I have) get the pack of olay pre wipes with your epilator? I think they help.

Hi Cuppy

I bought the Braun Silk epil Xpressive (£60 instead of 80 or 90) from Amazon. Yes, I did get pack of wipes! Saw that it mentioned that when using the epilator on the face it is best to wipe with alcohol first - I wont be doing that - I will be drinking it!!!! Really pleased with it though so thank you ladies for your input on which one to get. It also has a shaver head with it.

I offered Mr Cuppy a go with my epilator...thought it would save him from needing to shave quite so often....

He declined..
