Just wondered if anyone had tried the Nigella recipe for gammon in coca cola, a friend of mine did it over Christmas and she said it was absolutely delicious. The recipe only consists of gammon, onion, and coca cola.
Cant get my head around Coca Cola and Gammon, she mentioned because the Cola is so sweet, it leaves and almost caramel taste, dont know if I would care for that at all.

Sounds yummy to me Plasmo! I've seen Nigella make it on one of her cookery programmes and it looked really good - maybe you should give it a go?? Spangle x

Theres an old weight watchers recipe that uses chicken breasts and diet coke.I have never had it, but I believe it tastes like sweet and sour chicken.

Hi Plasmo
I have not done the Nigella recipe, but we did do something different with our ham this year.
We used the Jamie Oliver Jamaican Jerk Ham recipe and I have to report it was FANTASTIC.
The glaze/marinade had all sorts of things including rum, red chilli, garlic, and tyme.
I will be making that again.

Have done this recipe and it was great. Dont use diet coke though, its got to be the full sugar kind.

I like this receipe and another good one is Delia's gammon in mustard, brown sugar and cider. You keep the brown sauce it turns into and use it as a dip if you like sweet dips that is. My H cooks this and its a firm favourite, he has been asked for the recipe by friends and family.

I've done it a few times, and its brilliant!! Make sure you use the proper coke though, not diet stuff.
You'll love it.
