Sunday To-Dos
      #285483 - 21/12/2008 09:11

Morning all, I'm a very nosy person, does anyone have any to-dos?

Today I ought to go to the garden centre to get MIL's birthday gift, they have a craft section there. Also pick up some replacement bulbs for the tree lights. Whilst I'm out I need to tackle Tescos for supper.

Then it's home to do two piles of ironing as I watch rubbish tv, there's bound to be a Poirot on at some time!

I also have to finish decorating the tree, the lounge and conservatory.

Anyone else to-doing today?

Morning Mrs Twiddle...

I am twiddling for England today... Starting at the top of the house and working my way downwards.. I have been working hard lately and the housework has been sadly neglected although I have done 1 or 2 of your 20 minute twiddles over the past couple of weeks.
I am determined that by starting today...my house will be sparkling like a shiny new pin by Xmas Eve..
Happy Twiddling x

I've been very good and have done all my ironing up to date. Oh how i hate it!!!

Going to have a good tidy up, hoover, take the dog for a walk, then sit by the fire before tackling dinner.

Can anyone recommend a good wine for Christmas dinner? Better still, a couple of good reds and whites?

Will the twiddling continue after the holiday, when the house will be looking like a bomb site again, I think i ought to sign up in advance.

Lovely lady.

Having worked non stop for the last number of weeks, been away, sorted kids and the dog out etc..... I am sorry to say that I have not done anything this afternoon but sit in the lounge with my two teenage sons and laptop! Bliss! The only trouble is......I have loads to do, eaten loads of nibbles and feel guilty!

Good to have your company today ladies!

Lovelylady56, feel free to set up a new post in the food and homes section about your wine question, I'd hate it to get overlooked in here. We usually have Chablis and a Shiraz or 7.

I never did get the ironing done, oh well, there's always tomorrow

I've eaten my way through a chocolate box too!

I've been busy too. Been to both cemetaries with the wreaths and delivered all the Christmas presents. Done all the ironing too!
Mrs Twiddle, you would be a great person for advising how I can display all my lovely cards as I havent enough space to site them on surfaces. Any ideas?

Well! I have made up yet another bed and sorted the bedroom for guests(Son in Laws parents) Have hung one or two more decorations.Popped into the garden for five minutes to do a tidying job that was needed. Than watched some Show Jumping(very exciting) from Olympia. Am just going to iron the napkins for Christmas Day Then have a quick sandwich and then off to the Carol Service at our church. Will that be enough for today? I am not really on your Twiddlers list but feel I should be. I might be a bit better organised then!! I haven't been onhere much today.....decidede I just had to get on with the Twiddling!!
Oh.
, I Might Ice the Christmas cake tonight.....just a snow scene...I don't do fancy stuff!!!

Mayday

Bikerbabe Hi,
I have some 'sticky' tape stuff(Reusable) that hangs on the backs of doors or wherever. You buy it in rolls and keep it year after year. It is not really sticky......just enough for the cards to stick to it. Best thing I have found in 47 years of Christmasses!!(In my own home)You can get red or Green I think.

Bikerbabe, I deliberately have very few friends to avoid this problem

Maybe just display the nicest ones and leave the rest in a pile?

BEL, I'm doing my best, I just stopped for a bit to update my blog. Ready for wine now!

Mayday you get a gold star!

Hello all

i didn'tdo half of what I should have! We collected YS and have started his washing! Got my VIP invite to the Next sale online and booked my slot for tomorrow so I spent sometime looking through the preview.

Sorted out the freezer before doing the shop tomorrow. Cooked Sunday lunch, washed up and now on here with you lovely ladies.

As Mrs T says there's always tomorrow but that is already fully booked LOL!!!

I've been to morning service at church then back again at 3.30 to help prepare the Christmas tea which we have in the church hall before the service of lessons and carols. The service was lovely and we sang the last hymn by candlelight.

I'm just off now to polish my halo.

Oooooh! Thanks Mrs Twiddle! can I put it at the top of my tree?(gold star).
Well....I don't know what you're all doing with thesticky stuff!!! Mine works beautifully. Occasionally there is a particular card which falls off each year but most of them are fine. Mine is the red one....does that work better than the green I wonder?
Maybe stapleing to a length of ribbon would be safer?
Lovely idea Sella_vee ....the tea party at church! Our church was' packed to the gunnels' this evening for the carol service.....loads of folk who never come to church normally of course! Still...good to see so many feeling the 'pull' and it is what Christmas is all about after all!

I have deleted some posts Bel! Should be some room now I hope! Thanks for being patient!

Mayday
