Whilst its great to see the women in the makeovers look very glamorous going from the white teashirt and jeans to mega high heeled shoes and mainly dressed up clothes (Jan W & H) how about doing some makeovers with some practical everyday clothes that you could actualy wear on a day to day basis? Not everyone works in a high powered office and dresses to the nines, in fact the majority of offices these days have a casual clothes policy and what about those of us who don't go to the office and have more practical lives? Can't really see myself trudging over the muddy fields with two dogs in those platform high heeled shoes!!!

That would be an excellent idea! I NEVER (well, hardly ever) wear skirts to work as they're just not practical. I'm in and out of offices/labs/building sites all day, so I'd love to be made-over! In fact, I hereby offer my services to W&H :-)

In Gok Wan's moveover this week, hea actually said to the girl something about you must get over being comfortable, and wear other clothes.
Why can't we be comfortable and look good.
It does seem to be one or the other.

Hi trendymum good to see you have brought this subject up again of makeovers and also those in W&H! 
Hear hear I say.
So please W&H give us everyday mums, housewives and ladies that lunch, real life forum and Woman & Home readers a make over that we would actually wear on a day to day basis and ones that are practical and hard wear to.
Oh and not forgetting they need to be in the good low value for money bracket as our posh frocks and high heals are saved for the weekends, forum meet ups and parties    For those of us near, into our middle ages and beyond.

Absolutely Trendymurm, I look a complete slob most of the time at home, and would love to have comfortable, wearable clothes that I could look good in all the time, and not be afraid to open the door in!

Ladies, looks like we have identified a few makeover sessions for W & H as a starter:
- Casual working wear
- Casual stay at home wear
- Ladies who lunch (we're talking coffee shops etc here!)
and all at AFFORDABLE prices (think credit crunch), makes us look great, combined with the comfort factor.
Lets be honest we don't mind being uncomfortable for a short length of time in the name of glamour and to look absolutely great for a night out or a special occasion but that's not the majority of the time for most of us.
Come on W & H take up the challenge!
If you really want to take on something more challenging how about the dog walkers......
I'm sure we could get a list of volunteers for you as well!

I think after years of us being told how we must look, that it is very healthy for us to rebel. It's our money the "fashion houses" want, let them work to get it!!! The "industry" has been driving us for so long now. It's about time we drove the "industry".

I'd love to see an article with comfort clothes featured! I never wear skirts or dresses, last time was for my sons wedding 18mths ago!
