Hi Ladies,
I'd like to say thank you to the ladies who came to our 1st meeting at Pizza Express.
I really enjoyed myself and as is normal in ANY meeting of the forum ladies we were the last to leave! .

Hope your feeling better Birdy...hope to see you next time!

For anyone wishing to join we are reading "A Handmaidens Tale" by Margaret Atwood and can be found in paperback.

Hi SBQ.

It was lovely to meet on Wednesday night and I throughly enjoyed the "blether". Look forward to meeting up in January and discussing "The Handmaiden's Tale".
My suggestion for some time in 2009 is"The Woman in the Fifth" by Douglas Kennedy which is available in paperback.

Hi Ellench

I'd be very interested in what you made of 'The Woman in the Fifth'. I found it perplexing. Was this your experience?

Hi, SBQ & Ellench,
Like you both I enjoyed our first meeting and could not believe time had passed so quickly. It was a good night and we covered a good selection of reading.

Looking forward to sharing our thoughts on 'A Handmaiden's Tale' and hope some others will be able to join us in the new year.

Hi Girls,
I'm feeling better now but think I may be left with a scar on my forehead - just as well I have a fringe!
Looking forward to reading the book. Do we have a date and place for next meeting?

Hi Birdy.

Glad to hear that you're almost back to normal. When we met the last time we thought our next meeting would probably be the Stirling /Falkirk area but we didn't settle on anything definite. We probably need to think about where and when soon.

Hi Ladies
Just thought I'd drop in and wish you all
A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

At the last meeting it was thought the middle of Jan would be best for our next meet so what about the Wed 13th in Falkirk.
Ellech do you know of a place that would be suitible?

Hope everyone can make it ...looking forward to discussing the book with you

Take care
SBQ

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and settling into the New Year. I have not been on the forum much recently due to other things going on. Have you agreed a date for the next meeting? I am aware the 13th Jan was being talked about but as I was not able to make this, I did not join in. Also been unable to catch up on my reading even though I bought the book we were to read!!
Would like to meet up at the next one if we can get a date organised and agree on the book for reading.
Hope to speak to you all soon.
