Anyone else interested in a bookclub in Kent?
      #257754 - 19/11/2008 14:18

Hi,
I'm trying to either find or get going a book club in Kent. I'd love to hear from anyone that's interested or hear any suggestions that anyone might have as to how to get one going. I'm based near Maidstone so hoping for something fairly local - any thoughts??

Hi there

I check this site now and again to see whether there is anything local (ish!) but so far no luck. I would be interested to meet in Canterbury. Maidstone would be a bit too far as I live in Sandwich, so perhaps Canterbury would be a nice mid choice...?

If anyone is interested to meet in Canterbury, it would be great to get together and discuss, have a drink and chat generally.

My latest reads for your info and hopefully similar interests:

The Lollipop Shoes -brilliant
Almost Moon - good but depressing
Midnight's Children (dipping into this- started and abandoned just before xmas)

now reading:
Joanna Trollope's - Friday Nights- light, amusing
and Tony Benn's autobiography - very interesting

Hope to hear from people soon!
