Good morning girls, Im just back from my walk, and its chilly but sunny and dry so far.
I hope you are all after the weekend, sorry I didnt get on to the furum over the last few days, but its been busy busy busy here.
Chick we are thinking of you today, I hope all goes well for you.
Food wise its been good for me over the weekend, Ive stuck to the golden rules as best as I could, We had a nice bottle of red last night for a treat.
1 week to go girls, until our next weigh in, so what are you going to do to make sure you lose something? There is still time to make a difference if you have lapsed over the last week and weekend. I am determined to get below the 10st mark, so I will be following the PMK to the letter.
They are simple rules, we just have to follow them to make the difference, no one can do it for us, we are the only one who can make up our minds to do it.........
BUT........We are all in it together, so hand in hand, lets embrace the next 7 days and give it our ALL.
I dont know how many of you are going to York this weekend, but you have got something to aim for.
So good luck everyone.
I will step down from my podium now!!

Hi mjm, I want to lose at least 2lbs by next week - I've said here so now I will have to stick to PMK's rules to the letter. I'm going to Cyprus in slightly less than 6 weeks and would like to have lost 1/2" stone for then. It's cold and sunny here too, but not been out properly yet - only to the car to get to work. Will try and have a 10 min walk at lunch!! Have a great, positive and fulfilled day, everyone and especially Chicky and Ally - hope you're both feeling better soon Anne xx

Afternoon mjm and ann Missed you mjm nice to have you back. Not too good over the past few days but its another day. I have told myself no wine this week at all. Been a nice walk this morning sunny and brisk but the wind has dropped. All the lovely coloured leaves to see in the park. I am going swimming again this week, just thinking when I lost 3 pounds weeks back I did do more exercise, so that must be the answer more walks, more swimming, NO WINE have a great afternoon everyone Thinking about you chick xx

Afternoon ladies!
Thanks for the inspiration (again!) MJM.
I've been feeding my cold this weekend, comfort food (bangers and mash type comfort, not the sugary kind) but I've tried to keep the portions down and follow the rules. I still have a cold but am in work so no temptation around, I only bring what I'm going to eat and refuse all offers of treats.
Linby you are right, today is another day and I am going to make it a good one.
anne1005 good luck with your goal - you can do it :-)
Positive thoughts to Chick and AllyL.
Have a good day everyone.x

Hi and good afternoon mjm, anne, linby and everyone!
mjm - thanks for reminding us about the rules, and it really is that simple. I'll have to PM my weight on Friday, if that's OK, as we're off on holiday. This will be a real test - will I be able to stick to the rules surrounded by lovely french food and wine??!!
Linby - I'm sure exercise makes a difference. I hoping that on holiday I'll be more active than usual.
Anne - you can do it! Just think of that lovely Cyprus sunshine and you in your bikini!
Thinking of you, chickadee, I hope all goes well.
I'm feeling very stressed today - still a bit washed out and lethargic after my tests etc. and there seems to be so much to do. So much work has built up after 2 days away, I'm dreading what I'll have to face after a week's hols. But I am trying to be positive and have had some lovely vegetable broth for lunch, which was tasty and filling.
My D and I went clothes shopping yesterday - well you did all give me the go-ahead to treat myself! Went to Matalan so don't feel too guilty about spending the money. I got a knee length high waisted skirt with a big buckle belt, and guess what, the 14 was too big so had to get a 12, and even the waist on that is loose!! Feeling extremely chuffed! Also got 2 skinny rib polo neck jumpers AND some gorgeous shoes from New Look. Being able to get into smaller sizes is such an incentive to keep on track!
Have a good week everyone - and remember what mjm said, let's give it our ALL!

Well I fell off the wagon quite spectacularly over the weekend and I feel rubbish today. My skin looks awful and I've got a nice big spot at the side of my nose. That'll teach me - rubbish in, rubbish out.
Big congratulations, Ally. It's a fantastic feeling when you have to change clothes for a smaller size.
Linby, it's helped me to know that I'm not the only one. We'll go onwards and downwards (weightwise) together.
mjm, I'm going to get back into bed with PMK. I haven't listened to him for a while and I'm backsliding.
Chickadee, I hope things have gone well today.

Good luck anne with the 2lb target, me too, me too, I would love to lose 2lb.
Linby, you are so lucky to have Amber to enjoy your walks with, You have planted a seed in my mind about getting a dog again, I always manage to talk myself out of it tho.
Patsy, sorry you are feeling under the weather with a miserable cold, comfort foods sound great when the weather is so horid too, salads just dont hit the spot do they?
Im going to make some leek and potatoe soup this afternoon, so OH can take it with his packed lunches.
Ally, I hope you have recovered from your ordeal, and the biopsies come back with something that can easily be sorted for you. Remamber Ally, you are not the bionic woman, you can only do your best, so dont let the back log of work get you down while your feeling at a low ebb anyway, you wont likely get anymore thanks for it. Look after number 1.
Congratulations with your smaller sizes too, it really is the best feeling isnt it.....Go girl!
Oh dear Sella, what came over you, were you hypnotized by PMK, who told you could eat what ever you wanted, whether you were hungry or not, and to carry on until you could stuff no more??
Never mind, you have got time to get back on track and make a difference, so come on babe, back on board!

Hi Everybody - just joined you all last week, and haven't been brilliant foodwise but much cheerier and have enjoyed the forums. Am on holiday next week, so will miss the weigh in, but will be desperate to get going when I come home. Glad you went clothes shopping Ally, and for sharing the good news about sizes - an inspiration to me. I booked the venue for ED's wedding reception on Saturday. Loads of mirrors and I WILL be happy with what I see in them by 23/12/2009!

Hi,just joining you all.Hopefully will have my Pmk book and Cd in a day or so.I've just joined Mangetout and decided to avoid bread for a week.I know that's not really what pmk is about but think it will make me make more of an effort to eat a healthy diet rather than just reaching for bread. I need to increase the exercise I do because I realise thats vital for me to keep my weight down. Dec

Hi mjm, yes, have the book and cd and getting back into a daily habit. Didn't last long the last time I tried it, but I was on my own doing it, this feels like I can stay with it - I am much better with people round me.
