No-one has put up an inspirational post for the Flabuless Forummers yet!
Well, I don't feel very inspirational, but here is my question? Do you listen to your body?
I got up and got ready for work this morning ignoring the fact that I felt dreadful and thinking I ought to cary on because I neeed to earn some money.
Then I thought, "You can always earn it another time - if you are well. right now you need to take care of yourself". so I took advice from the forum, vitamins, echinacea and warm drinks. I sat quietly, then went and had a nap, and you know what, I do feel a bit better. I certainly feel in a better place for fighting germs off.
It made me realise how often we don't listen to what our bodies are telling us. So, if your body is telling you that you are hungry, eat. If it's telling you to eat for some other reason, remember to ask yourself "What do I really want?"
And I will try to do the same!

Afternoon Chick glad you are feeling better. You are so right to 'listening to your body' I saw the signs earlier this week and made my decision. When you are younger you seem to fight off things easier, so maybe now that we are a grown up ( well some times when I want to be LOL )We should listen more and not be so hard on ourselves.I have been so relaxed, been for a nice walk in the park this morning very windy, going for a swim later have a great weekend ladies xx

Well done, Chickadee. I noticed no one had started us off today, but while I was replying to your other post ES phoned.
I'd like to say a big thank you to Foxie for her occasional, and very interesting and encouraging posts. I had a lovely lavender scented bath last night before I went to bed and I slept like a log, right through until morning. Then I turned over and had another couple of hours!! Good job I'm not working today.
I have read somewhere that getting a proper amount of sleep keeps you thinner, but like most of the things I post about I can't remember where on earth I read it.
I think I have recently stopped listening to my body, but I'm getting back on track. I've had a busy week or two and the danger, when we are busy, is that we eat unthinkingly, and forget to stop when we are just starting to feel full. I've been a bit better this week.
So "Tell me what I want, what I really, really want!" oh body of mine!

Food wise I am still finding it hard to onlyeat when I am hungry and stop when I am full. I am good at lstening to nice things !! for instance today while I was on the beach my body told me to have a Magnum and I did it was lovely 315 calories but I only ate half the SF had the rest

Im late too, sorry girls, I was out for my walk this morning and then back out this afternoon to food shop, and see my friend (usual Tuesday routine).
Boy was it cold out there this morning, 2 degrees, but we ploughed on, it snowed, it hales, it rained, and then the sun shone!
After the shower had warmed me thro again, I dug out my beautiful winter coat OH bought me for xmas last year.....
OMG.........
Its almost too big for me!
It feels much more comfortable to wear than it did last year, so I am well chuffed.
AND........
I bought 2 new cashmere jumpers (size 10)
AND........
WAIT FOR IT........
A pair of jeans (size 10) all from Tescos.
Can you tell I got paid today??
Chick, good for you taking the day off to recover properly, these horid viruses have a habit of hanging on and on, so your are right to be good to yourself.
Did you enjoy your swim Linby?
Sella, your right, and another thing about not listening to your body is, ignoring when your getting hungry, leaving it too long, and before you know it, your starving! then you grab the first thing your see and eat it so quickly, that you end up being stuffed before you realize. Its a very viscious circle!!
So me being at home for the next week, I am really going to concentrate on what my body is telling me, so thanks Chick, Im with you.

Hi Everyone, Delighted to find you still here when I got home from work. And well impressed with your weight loss mjm. Ed cam home late lst night to say she thinks they will brig wedding forward to Dec 2009, it was to have been dec 2010. I am delighted and for various reasons am sure they are doing the right thing, except I now have one year instead og two to lose 2 stone. And I need a glass of wine tonight to get my head round it all, which wont help my round waist if you know what I mean.

Anne18 - how exciting and what an incentive! mjm - Size 10...WOW You must be so pleased! SL. wish I'd been on the beach with you It is so cold here tonight. Sella, I;ve read that about sleep too - and that when you are asleep is when you actually lose the weight - it doesn't sound very logical does it...perhaps we should give up exercise and do more sleeping! LOL!!And Linby your day sounds lovely....
I'm going to take things very quietly this weekend and rest up a lot, so hopefully will be fit for Monday.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Chickadee, hope you feel lots better tomorrow. And if you do get a really good long sleep think how thin you'll be! I am excited about the wedding, going to look at a venue for the reception tomorrow, and pay the deposit which is the less exciting bit, but never mind, less money for chocolate.
