Virus - how many of us?
      #207224 - 29/09/2008 09:47

I know I have been floored by a horrible bug since Thursday, I have been interested to read since yesterday that there appears to be quite a few of us in the same boat. How are you all doing today ladies? I am actually not at work today, had to phone in as sick, just feel so exhausted. But on a positive note I did think I would get to join in a coffee morning if anyone throws one on the main forum, I will sit in the corner of course near an open window!

Sorry you're not well Whitley Bay. Oh had it early last week - he was very sick and poorly. I haven't been sick, but I ache all over, with every bone is grating on the next one, and I am so so tired all the time. Not nice. Here's best wishes to all us poorly girls!

Fingers crossed I'm ok at the moment but we've got a number of people off work today and some who really should have stayed home rather than soldiering on and sharing the bugs with the rest of us.

Hope everyone feels better soon!

Hi Whitleybay, Summer and Chickadee
It seems all kinds of bugs are going round. I'm absolutely full of cold today and feeling sorry for myself cos I'm at work and would rather be snuggled under the duvet! My junior who was on holiday last week has a cold too - so at least we can't give it to each other.

Yes, yes I've had the queasy wishy-washy bug! I think I was the 1st. I nearly went to the doctor because I was quite worried (and I never ever go to the doctor)
Lost 4lb in a week!
But suddenly felt better again. In fact,so suddenly that I was feeling ill at breakfast, dragged myself to the shops, planning my GPs appointment, then found I was feeling raring to go and enjoying myself!!

I'm holding my hand up...........I've got it too, since yesterday morning

Oh so icky, my bones ache, my skin hurts, yesterday it was just too tiring to even speak. I feel like I'm on board a ship on the rolling waves!!!

Hope we all feel better soon. Big gentle hugs to all that are poorly

Hi Chickadee

This is how I was feeling last week. Not sickly but bones aching all over, dreadful headache and absolutely exhausted. I wondered what was matter but now think it could have been this bug. I'm not aching as much now and less tired.

Take care all.

this is for all of us who are feeling "wabbit" as they say in Scotland. We need to drink it up and get our strength back for our virtual forum this weekend. Take care all.
Sorry couldn't find a vegetarian one too!

Still on antibiotics and have just finished a course of steriods, as as usual it went, almost right away, on to my asthmatic

Thank goodness for these fun and friendly forums and all you ladies to chat away to and forget one is ill and feelign down for a few minutes

Hope you are all soon feeling back to normal and as right as rain.

I thought it was just me, I too have been feeling really tired, dizzy, and having headaches. I didn't know there was a virus going round.

Girls, have you all been kissing my OH? He's been full of cold all weekend and spent lots of time in bed, which isn't like him. He's gone to work today though, so I'd better get the Vick ready for when he comes home. I think I'll tie one of his big hankies round my face, like the cowboys used to do, so that I don't catch it. Like you, dbvc, colds tend to go to my chest too.

Sella, I wish I felt like kissing anyone - even if your OH is as handsome as George Clooney, I don't think I could be bothered. My OH has not had much attention recently - even hugs hurt!

Lots of love and sympathy to all us poor sufferers - chicken soup sounds like a good idea.
