Good morning all,
another weigh-in! I've found that it's not the pounds that tell me how well I'm doing but the change in shape. I went for a bra fitting on Saturday morning at a very nice shop in the next village as some of my favourite bras now feel a bit 'slack'. Having not been measured for a year or so I wasn't expecting any major changes (just a need to replace worn out lingerie). Well I was surprised, I've gone down a back size (two in some styles!) and up one or two cup sizes (again depending on style and make) so I can tell that my shape is changing. Unfortunately it turned out to be a very expensive visit as I went home with some lovely purchases!
What are the signs that tell you that you are losing weight?

HI Chrissi - congratulations on your new improved shape and your lovely purchases!
FOr me it's definitely how I fel that dtells me how well I'm doing. I agree, the under-the-bust measurement is quite a good one; also how I feel around my middle. However, I feel "sluggish" as they say in the ads, bloated and horrible today, and yes, I've put a pound on, whereas at the start of the week I'd have said I'd lost a couple.
I think it's partly the horrible virus I've got which makes me lethargic and slow, and partly since my d. had her teeth out, she's been living on soup and ice cream, and it hasn't seemed fair to make nice meals for myself, especially when I don't feel like cooking anyway, so I've been doing the same - though I did have vegetable casserole for lunch when she was out last week. More of the same this week I think (vegetable casserole, not soup and ice cream!).
Oh well, on with the Activia and water.

With me it is if I can move my wedding band on my finger. It has been in the same "groove" of skin for so long, but when I can move it up my finger slightly I know something is changing.

Good morning all!
Chrissi - what a lovely feeling, knowing your shape is changing. Well done, you and enjoy your lovely new bras.
Chickadee - hope you're feeling a bit better today. The main thing I've found since starting with PMK and you girls is that I've lost weight from my middle and don't feel anything like as bloated as I used to.
Whitleybay - I think my wedding ring feels ever so slightly looser!
I'm not feeling very well today - I'm absolutely full of cold - but have to be at work as there is so much to do. Got a real boost when I got on the scales this morning though - I've got down to my interim target weight which I wanted to be at before I go on holiday a week on Friday! So I am feeling positive and will resist comfort food!
Have a good day everyone!

Good afternoon girls, Im just up, Thank you chrissi for starting todays thread, I always feel fat and bloated after my night shifts, but I know its only temporary. I have lost weight all over I think ,my legs are much more toned, and so is my tummy, I used to be really conscious of my fat upper arms, but Im not anymore. Im not saying Im perfect, far from, I just feel so much more comfortable with myself now.
Chrissi, congtatulations on your new purchases, what a boost.
Chick, I dont think your weigh in counts this time because you have been ill, I just hope you feel better soon, these horid viruses have a rotten habit of hanging on, and sucking the life out of you.
Whitleybay, its lovely to see you on the threads, I hope we see much more of you, now dont lose that wedding ring will you!
Ally, sorry to here your full of the cold, I hope its all gone before your holiday. Congratulations on meeting your interim target, you have done really well.
SL, another holiday!!, can I come this time, you seem to have such a lovely time where ever you go.
Linby, dont give up, the pounds all add up, and you will get there, I promise.

Afternoon ladies!
MJM I haven't sent my weight this week - as I'm 2 weeks into my four week plan I'm going to wait until the end of it before I weigh - hope that's OK? I'll be on the scales on Friday 10th Ocotber (before FF in York).
Well done ChrissiFi - you should feeling really happy with yourself.
Poor Chick and AllyL - so far I have managed to avoid the lergies around the office - sending you both get well wishes.
I have had a marvellous weekend, really relaxing - OH and I shared a bottle of wine watching the TV on Saturday. Not what I promised but we had such a lovely evening and I really enjoyed it. Back on the straight and narrow yesterday.
Whitelybay, I know the feeling - I can now wear my wedding ring again - I haven't been able to wear it for so long now!
Linby every pound counts, well done
I've just been to buy a suit (and new shoes SL, I've noticed that too!) as work are sending me to an exhibition and had to take the skirt back and get a smaller size - you would not believe how happy that made me
Have a lovely day everyone.x

Well done to everyone this weigh-in - will post mine later (or maybe not..LOL) Not expecting anything but we will see!! Well done Patsy SL & Chrissi on your inch loss!!! Get better soon to Ally and Chicky!!! Whitleybay, I can get my wedding ring off for the 1st time in years & my engagement ring keeps slipping round to the underside of my finger. Linby, I think of weightloss in terms of lbs of butter or lard no longer smeared all over my body!!! Sorry if thats too much information!!LOL mjm, looking forward to the next 90 days - will set myself a mini target to see if I can lose 1 stone by Christmas - or even a dress size!!! ( Seem to be addicted to exclamation marks today!!!!!!!) Take care everyone Anne xx

Spanish Lady, I hadn't thought about it before but some of my shoes certainly feel more comfortable than before. I wore a pair of black heels recently that I'd normally only wear if I know I'll be sitting most of the time and after a couple of hours of standing up my feet still felt fine.

Come to think of it, Spanish Lady, I wore some shoes last week that I've only worn a couple of times and they were much more comfortable this time, so perhaps my feet are shrinking.

Good afternoon everyone, I've had a really busy, but most enjoyable day today, at a flower arranging workshop. It wasn't al all fattening, although we did use green apples in one of the designs and I ate one of mine because I was so hungry - we were running late at lunchtime.
ChrissiFi, what a treat, getting some new bras in a better size. As you all know, I'm a great believer in the healing powers of lingerie, but I think AllyL and Chickadee had better buy some pretty thermals. My OH has a horrible cold at the moment so I'm trying to avoid him, I mean nurse him from a distance! He's at home this week so he'll probably share his cold with me; he's generous that way.
Chickadee, I know what you mean about pounds on and off. I've not lost any weight since my last weigh in but considering I've had two weeks in Italy, I consider that a result. And I am feeling much better about my middle.
AllyL, congratulations on reaching your interim target.
SL, I bought some thong sandals in May and they were too tight. Now I can get into them, so I agree with you.
Linby, my rings are looser now too. I've had to move one onto my middle finger. I did have several rings resized last year as both my wedding and engagement rings had become uncomfortably tight. I do find my fingers swell towards the end of the day.
PatsyW, well done on the skirt. Isn't it a great feeling?
mjm, glad you've got your bingo wings under control .
AlexP, how are you doing?
I'd like to have a bit of a push in time for Christmas, but I'll be delighted if I can lose 9lbs, which will be slightly more than a pound a fortnight. Now that I think about it I might need some of Spanishlady's dodgy mussels if I'm to achieve that. I'm losing weight verrrry slooooowly, but it is fairly painless and I'm not feeling deprived, so I'll settle for whatever I achieve. Sometimes I find that if I set a target and don't achieve it it knocks me off course.

Evening everyone, Hope you all did well with today's weigh in. I'm afraid I have gained weight this time around and to make matters worse my OH has lost another 1lb....there must be something wrong with my scales. lol. Strangely enough though I have found my clothes slightly looser around my middle, so maybe I'm losing inches instead of pounds. I'm not going to let it get me down though...will keep on with PMK and try to stay positive. Will send you a pm mjm.
