Hi Emma
I posted a similar note on this site on the 25th Sept and had a number of people look at my note (26 so far) which leads me to believe that possibly alot of people may be interested in joining a book club in Cheltenham. I had a reply from someone who is interested and is waiting like us to hear if there are any of the members out there who will reply. I have decided that if I do not hear from anyone I would like to start up another book club in Cheltenham and see if there are many people interested. Would you be interested in joining if I were to start up another club? I have never done this before but feel it would be a good way of meeting people and review literature. Anyway let me know what you think.
Kind Regards
Roisin aka Kaliopi

Hi Kaliopi

I would be interested in a bookclub in Cheltenham if you do get one going. What sort of books do you think will be considered. I tend to read fairly easy-read books ie thrillers, detective stories and semi chicklit (by that I mean books with a good storyline rather than boy with strong dark looks meets girl with fair hair and a rosebud mouth etc) so maybe it is not for me. I have recently discovered Erica James, Barbara Erskine and Robert Goddard. Hope to hear from you.

Hi Kaliopi

I am new to forums. I would also like to join a book club in Cheltenham. I read anything and everything. Reading The Suspicions of Mr Whitcher at the moment by Kate Summerscale - brilliant so far.

I work shifts therefore only available Tuesday and Sunday evenings.
Please let me know if you do start ip

Many thanks

Hi KathrynG
Just noticed your e-mail so thanks for replying. Great to hear you would like to join the book club. I'd love to get some more people interested so we might want to give it another week or two. So if anyone else is interested please let us know.

I'm interested! What sort of stuff would we be looking at? Some of my fave authors are John Irving, Joanne Harris, Margaret Attwood, John Grisham (pretty eclectic I know!) but I'm very open minded and if I like the look of a book, will give it a go!
I hope this goes ahead - I'm looking forward to it!

Hello all

Having read about the Cheltenham Book Club in W & H recently, and being an avid reader, I am really interested in joining one locally so would be keen to join if you are going to go ahead with setting one up...

Hope to hear more soon
