Dear all
The Hall Place ladies have booked a table at the Jacobean Barn in Hall Place for 17 December at 8pm.
If you would like to come please let me know as soon as possible. There is a £5 deposit to pay and the total cost of the meal excluding drinks is £18.95
The menu is
Starters
Honey Roasted Parsnip Soup
prawn and Crayfish Cocktail
Tomato and Mozzerella salad
Chicken and Chizorio sasuage skewers
Main Courses
Chicken in Maderia Sauce
Rump Steak
Rib eye steak
Goats Cheese and Red Onion Tart
Salmon with white wine and Lobster Sauce
Desserts
Christmas Pudding
Banoffee Pie
Chocolate Brownie
Cheese and buscuits

Have they not got turkey on the menu ??  . After all it is christamas

no, no turkey, but I think that we'll all be eating so much of it that we'll be ok and not miss it too much! They have pud though!!! I hope the party went well!

Hi JD5 I to was wondering that and why such a different menu to the well loved Chirstmas type that I personally like at this time of year and that tend to go for.
This selection is almost like their normal menu and as one gets in most places and apart from the Christmas Pudding desserted!  Trends I guess are to blame.
 Oh ho I will still go and take my pick but I will miss my traditional roast turkey and all the trimmings.
It tastes so much better, don't you agree, when you don't have to cook yourself

My sentiments as well, perhaps I will have the chicken and pretend it is turkey!!

Good to hear your OH's party went well JD.
Was thinking of you and with the lovely weather.
Did kids find out about all the plans and were they still surprised for their dad?
I ended up at home alone on Saturday as I wasn't well enough to go with OH and son. OH took him and his stuff back to Norwich and to his new house share so as to be in time for the start of his uni course today.
