Perty dress for FF
      #201139 - 22/09/2008 16:24

Just come back from a depressing shopping expedition to find a dress for York. Have come back with nothing! Where did the rest of you find yours and without giving too much away, what sort of thing did you buy? Help!

I don't think you are alone Aquarius. I haven't found anything I like yet.

i'm not a big dresser upper but have a silky-ish top bought from monsoon on a whim a few weeks ago just because i liked it and by chance discovered a silkyish skirt i bought in next sale that still had the label on - so nothing wildly exciting from me - i'm quite laid back about outfits though i'm sure some of the ladies will be dressing to impress-ing ....
(ps i have seen some very expensive shoes i'd like but i'm trying to control myself )

Will probably wear a dress from Oasis - it's a couple of years old but doesn't get out often!

Did consider buying something new, but worried I might feel self-conscious wearing it, so am going to play safe!

May change my mind again, but am running out of time to be indecisive.

New dress! Pah! Are you kidding!

I am definitely NOT spending money on dressing up for FF. Take me as you find me, slippers and all.

I hope there will be others like me too and I don't mind sitting at the bottom table out of the way. :-)

Now have raging indigestion. Panicked about said dress, and rushed upstairs to check it's not in need of dry cleaning (told you it didn't get out much!). Tried it on, still fits and seems clean enough, phew!

Will finish my dinner now!

Hi Mange,I got my dress in the sales reduced from £160 to £48 but it doesnt fit me!lol Its black sleeveless with a vneck & beaded,it has a dusty rosepink underlay so although it looks black it has a hint of pink showing through..if I dont lose enough weight I will be wearing a plain black dress I got for a wedding in August...

Aquarius, I'm not going to FF but I'm sure you will look lovely in whatever you are wearing, and the girls will love you too, so stop stressing.
