Hampshire New Forest Walk Lunch Sunday 5th October Holmsley
      #199353 - 20/09/2008 07:13

Hi everyone,

Our last Walk in the Forest and Sunday lunch was a fabulous success - we had such a great time we have decided to do it again.

Truthfully the purpose of the walks is to find the best Sunday Lunch in the Forest and the pre-lunch walk justifies the delicious feast afterwards.

This time we plan to meet at 11am on Sunday 5th October at the Forestry Commission HOLMSLEY Car Park.

We are doing "Walk 13" in the Hampshire / New Forest Walks - Pathfinders Guide Book.

"Holmsley Old Railway and Whitten Pond Walk" then lunch in the converted Holmsley Station, which is now a fabulous tearoom.

Everyone is welcome, please join us, we don't go on a mamouth route march - its just a pleasant stroll (between 3-5 miles depending what we are in the mood for).

Lots of laughs and chit chat with a great lunch at the end of it

Just post on the Forum that you are interested and I will pm you with more details etc.

Looking forward to seeing everyone

Gilley

Hi Gilley I was interested to read that you plan to walk on the 5th to Homsley, unfortunately I won't be able to make that date, but its sounds great - with lunch as well. I did the Homsley to Burley walk today with my friend and what a fantastic day it was . I hope your day goes well and will look out for further walks as I would love to join in if thats ok?

Hi peppermintpattie

Sorry you won't be able to join our walk - you sound like our type of women - lunch is very important to us !!!

Keep watching the forum - our next date is never far away - check out the supper clubs in this area too.

"Dec" organises Bournmouth and Poole and I organise Southampton and surrounding area (we tend to mingle amongst each other a lot)

Hi Gilley

I've just joined the forum and 'shopping around'your walks sound inviting, stroll in the forest, chit chat, laughs and a pub lunch so I've decided George Clooney can be put aside when the next one comes up (I am sure he will find something to do!) Would love to come along if free. Hope today wasn't a wash out and you enjoyed the walk and lunch.

Hi Lollipop and welcome to the forum,

Glad you have decided to give yourself some space from George - too much of a good thing can be bad for you.

Our walk was a washout unfortunately but we had a lovely long lunch instead.

We have rescheduled the Holmsley walk for the 19th of October - lets hope the weather improves by then.

I am just about to post this date on the forum so do watch out for it and pm me for some more details.

Hope to see you then

Gilley
