I know that we normally swap holiday ideas etc, but I wanted to share with you all a great restaurant we went to today for lunch.
It is the new restaurant at Chapel Down Vineyard, near Tenterden in Kent. The chef/owner is Richard Phillips and the restaurant is called the same.
If you live nearby or are in the area, the vineyard itself is a nice place to visit even if you are not having a meal. There is a nice fine food & wine shop, tasting sessions, vineyard trails and picnic tables. Also loads of parking and easy to find.
We booked a table for lunch to celebrate my OH's new job. The decor is really nice and modern, lots of trendy glasses and plates etc.
The food was very good although there is a little room for improvement. The sewrvice was also good but a little slow at times.

This restaurant was recommended to me by someone else just yesterday. That means we are meant to go and try it.
I am glad you had a nice meal and your OH has a new job.

lucii - I do believe in fate so if 2 people have told you the same thing then there is something in that!
Sweetpeasue - not sure where in Kent you are but we have a supper club going if you fancy joining us next time. There are about 6/7 who meet up. PM me if you are interested.
