Just having a bit of a rant and wondering if anyone else has tried to subscribe to the special offer in the September issue, which comes with a free Elemis night cream? The 2-page spread says this can be taken out online, by post or by phone. Online, it's slightly cheaper but no mention of the free gift. So I phoned, quoting the special code, but the guy who answered the phone first of all said it wasn't a current offer (despite the closing date shown as 30 September). He then said it was current but he had no idea about the Elemis free gift. I had to spell 'Elemis' to him but he couldn't find any reference to it! After what seemed like several minutes he said it was his first day and suggested I should apply by post! I said I didn't understand why he couldn't deal with it and eventually, most reluctantly, he put me on hold while he went to check with someone else, but after several minutes on hold I gave up. Has anyone else tried to subscribe to this offer? I now see on the website that I can get 3 issues for £1 (I assume it means £1 each?) as an introductory offer, but frankly I've gone off the idea! I used to be a subscriber but didn't renew precisely because of all the confusing and contradictory offers, and the special rates offered only to new subscribers - it seems nothing has improved in the last few months.
