Hello SBQ,

Well at last, it all sounds good to go, only thing that could put a spanner in the works is if I get a job interview, looking to change job closing date for application is 1st october, but it is highly unlikely to clash with the 15th, so fingers crossed its definately a date. Will Birdy be putting a book title in the hat though? the more choice the better I say!

Well Katz looks like we are on for the 15th, can you let me know if its still ok for you to pick me up that day say around 1145-1150ish??

Look forward to hearing from you and seeing you soon SBQ

Hi, Cherryblossom and Superbakerqueen, really sorry to say that I cannot make it Wedmesday 15th for the book club as I have to go into work due to absences and sickness which has left the office with almost no one in it!

I could manage an hour or so at lunch time, but aware that you are currently carless cherryblossom and so will be unable to get to Falkirk and as I work near Falkirk, wont be able to give you a lift.

Really sorry about this ladies as I was looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Katz and SBQ,

Katz dont worry about it, I am in the middle of studying for my interview on the 24th. SBQ I know the other lady from your area could not make it either for the 15th. Shall we try and schedule for another time that suits everyone, so we start with the whole group. If I was lucky to be successfull in getting my 6month secondment post then unfortunately its full time, at the moment I am part time, then it could be difficult. But I feel we should try and persevere and get together even if we manage something before christmas. Any idea's ladies??

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello SBQ,

I am sure if we all keep in touch with regular posting we can get something organised. Even if we dont manage anything before christmas then we should try and make a firm arrangement if we can for the new year.

Unfortunately at this time of year things start to get busy dont they. I certainly have alot on in nov/dec. I have a family gathering early december and in november too.

Will definately keep in touch and I am sure we will get there eventually, and we will probably enjoy it all the more. Thanks for your good wishes re my interview

Talk again soon. Best wishes to you too Katz.

Hello Everyone,

Good to hear from all, and although I had a good positive interview as the job was a secondment post a girl got it who was doing the job already, but the nurse manager said I had to keep eyes peeled as some permanent posts will be coming up soon, so at least it has got my face and experience out there, plus dont have to travel to Edinburgh 5 days a week now phew !! With a view to meeting up I am pretty full on now until the festivities, but if you all get a date, then I will see if it fits in with my ever hectic calendar as I would love to meet you all soon. Please keep me posted girls.

Good to see you online Birdy, wow what alot of books you got through on your hols !!

Hi all,
Fancy trying to get a date for a meet? Maybe Birdy can suggest some of the books she read on her hols for us.

SBQ, hope your wee op went well.

I'd be interested in meeting up too. Any further along with the arrangements or in choosing a book?

Hi there Ellench,
Great to hear from someone else who wants to join us !
What are we going to do about getting a meeting started? Is it too near Christmas to arrange anything or do we want to wait til January?
Can't wait to meet you all !

I don't mind getting together before Christmas but I know a few of you have lots to do in the festive season....so I'll go along with the general feeling...(who says I'm a sheep...Baaaaa)
I think a more important question is ...Where?
Do we want to meet in our homes or out?
If out then...in a bar or cafe or restaurant or somewhere else if you know of somewhere!

Does anyone have strong feelings about this???

Looking forward to meeting everyone

The new Centre in Livingston is looking lovely and has many good places to meet. What about if the ones who can make it before christmas meet up
first and then the others in January?

Hi, all.
I'm up for a meet before Christmas and don't mind travelling to the centre at Livingstone. Now the big question - what day and time? Weekends or evenings are better for me as I work Monday to Friday though I do have time owed to me so can do some negotiating. However I did this the last time we tried to set up a meeting and ended up having to cancel as I had to go into work due to others being off.

What do others think?

Weekends are difficult for me for me as I work in my shop during the day but any evening is fine...or days during the week.
Happy to go to the new Livingston Center...so does that mean we have a place????? now just a time and date!
I propose 7.30pm...does that suit anyone??

Keep in touch
