Hi Everyone
Now that I have struggled online (prior to nipping out for a spot of retail therapy) I'd like to add my voice to Barbara's to say I really enjoyed our evening at the Boat House and thanks to Dorothy.
Looking forward to the next Occasion. Thank you, Carol, if you are doing the booking.

Sorry I missed the August ESC, hope you all enjoyed it.
Well gurls after nearly three months of hell and horror. We were duly greeted with a little baby granddaughter yesterday. 6lbs 11oz, she is tiny, they have called her Samantha. She latched on very easily first time, around 5pm, we were told she might not feed for quite a few days until she had some morphine! They are going to monitor the baby to see how much morphine is in her system.
The consultant agreed to do the caesarean 8 days earlier than they were going to, as daughter had come off the morphine about 4 weeks ago, but the pain was really terrible, which then started to affect her mentally and emotionally.
We will not know how daughter will be until the spinal block wears off.
SIL is off work from Wednesday night until 15 September returns. Hope daughter can now manage with 3 kids and can walk without too much pain by then. Wow big effort!!
We have a child free weekend and hopefully next week too. I am going to hairdresser 11.30 today but could not get a massage, but have managed to get one next Friday for an hour, bliss
We have booked our holiday - 19 September for 2 weeks to Bulgaria (Sunny Beach), has anyone been there? Had good and bad reviews.
Well off to hairdresser now.
Hope to catch up with you at next ESC, might be October now as I think we might be away for September meet.
H x

As I said on the other thread LC - congratulations to you both; I'm sure Samantha is absolutely beautiful and you all must be so relieved that your daughter has come through okay. Have a good holiday; it sounds as though you deserve it!!

Congratulations Helen, hope all continue to do well and you enjoy your well-deserved holiday.
Treetops, HOW does one get onto the "other thread"?
I'm trying to persuade someone to go and see "The Duchess" with me. I know I say Keira Knightley irritates me (and she's rather thin for the role) but it's a very interesting story and Bess Foster was a great character. Any takers?

Hi Ladies There were quite a few of us that fancied seeing Mama Mia (some of us for the 2nd time!!!!)...HelenY fancied the sing-a-long I believe!!!! are there any takers for an evening with Pierce and Colin???? , and if so when? I thought we'd probably go to the Omni if it's still on there but am open to suggestions as you all know travelling is not an issue with me

Hi All
In case you're wondering if I've fallen off the planet - I haven't, just skipped off to Madrid for a much needed break and sun.
Can you confirm who will be coming next Friday. I'll make the booking at Cafe Andaluz on George Street and confirm to them as soon as I know a definite number.
Thank you Dorothy for booking the last one, I enjoyed the meal very much despite the fact that eating is not top of my list of things to do at the moment!!!

Hi SBQ, Have just seen this thread again - and your message of the 10th. Sorry for not picking it up; don't know how I missed it.
Springfever - what is the next date? I seem to be out of touch. Are you talking about Friday 19th or Friday 26th? Let me know!
