Meditation
      #178876 - 27/08/2008 10:12

Good morning ladies!

Seeing Lillie's post about incense sticks has prompted me to ask if any of you practice meditation, or have ever tried to learn it?

I have a good friend who practices sahaja yoga, which is a form of meditation, and I have been trying to learn it but I find it really difficult - I just feel as though I am sitting there with all these thoughts going around in my head and I don't seem able to find that sense of peace and relaxation. My friend seems to be able to do it whenever she wants to.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who does practice any form of meditation - I really need to be able to relax more!

Crawfie xxx

I have tried yoga & meditation over the years but I've always been too hyper & could never let my mind relax (always had too much stress in my life & too much to do) but I would love to find someone like your friend as my life has changed dramatically & I'd love to experience it, she must be a very chilled individual.

She is a very calming influence. Strangely I had known her for years before I found out that she practises meditation!!!

I do meditation and it is very calming, YOGA, I only do basic, I burn candles, incense sticks occasionally. I also tend to use herbal medicines if I can, rather than from the dr.

I meditate often (despite having a crazily busy life and a crazily busy head!!)
I have a wonderful CD that takes me through my chakras to balance myself and it is such a treat.
Because it's a guided meditation it means I switch off my own thoughts to listen to the CD. I feel like it has really added to the changes I have made in my life this year.

I also use Reiki to calm myself which is beautiful
