      #178797 - 27/08/2008 08:47

Hello Ladies

I am just sitting here inhaling the wonderful scent of a lit incense stick - its wonderfuly uplifting.

How many of you light them at home occasionally yourselves ?

Sue x

Hi Lillie, I love Mystic Incense Black Coconut and also used to like L'Occitane's Verbena sticks but they don't make them any more. I use them mostly after cooking fish or broccoli to get rid of the smells ... but will go and light one now as could do with being uplifted!

OH prefers incense sticks, I like smelly candles. Especially M&S rose.

I always make sure that I have a wide variety of scents at hand. My fave scents are always the flowery scented incense sticks. But there are others I use too..... at present I light a Sage Insence stick on a daily basis.....
I burn incense for various reasons....

I went through a phase of burning incense sticks, but now I prefer scented candles or essential oils.
I love the Christmassy candles, but obviously don't burn them this time of year (even though the weather feels wintry). Have a gorgeous M&S one with cinnamon, it makes the whole house smell really cosy and welcoming.

I hate incense sticks, I have an intense dislike of smells like patchouli or musk I do love scented candles though & scented wax melts which I make myself, so easy to do. I use so many candles I should really learn to make these myself too but there's a lot of regulations, I can only take so many regulations!

I tend to use a diffuser and put a few drops of oil into the water. Makes the whole flat smell really nice. If i have had a stressful day I add up to 3 different smells to help me unwind.
