well ladies, I've finally had the results back from my thyroid surgery and I'm afraid to say it's cancer.
I now have to have another operation to remove the rest of my thyroid and radio active treatment.
I am completely shell shocked and very frightened.

Beachbabe, that's shocking news, I'm not surprised you're feeling the way you are. I know nothing about thyroid cancer, but I do know that there are so many people who have had different types of cancer (myself included) who've had successful treatment and once it's over go on to lead normal lives. Keep thinking positive thoughts and picture yourself better. I read (and listened to) this book and cd and it helped me enormously. x

so sorry to hear your news BB, I have a node/nodule? on my thyroid which I had biopsed last year & when I got the B(enign) word instead of the C word I nearly passed out, I was so stressed. I'm sending you a lot of positive energy & vibes.

Very sorry to hear your bad news and will be thinking about you and sending you support. The better news is that I understand that this is one of the most treatable forms of Cancer. Keep posting and we will all be supporting you.

So sorry to hear your news beachbabe - I can well understand how frightened you must be feeling at the moment but please stay positive - as hollyuk says this is one of the most treatable forms of cancer.
I hope all goes well with the op and your follow up treatment - we'll all be thinking of you.

Just want to add my thoughts and good wishes. It's the news none of us would want to hear, so we can all imagine how you must be feeling.
Take care and be kind to yourself.

Beachbabe, am so sorry for your news, what a terrible shock, but do keep positive, its the only way. I had a borderline tumour removed in April from my ovary, which was quite traumatic, but can't imagine how you feel at this mo with the C word. Take care of yourself, we are all rooting for you! Beachbabe, what horrible news to get. Like the others say,try to stay positive. Sending you love and hugs, and I will be thinking of you and saying a prayer for you. Do you know how long you will have to wait for the operation?
I hope you have family with you to comfort you and support you, but we are always here too and sometimes it helps to write about your fears and worries.
