Hi, I'm interested in living in France for a few months and think Lille would be good as it's so accessible to London via the Eurostar (I will still be freelancing in the UK). Has anyone got experience of living there and does anyone know how I can rent a furnished apartment for a few months. Thanks!

Lille isnt the prettiest of places, but has become quite a shopping centre since Eurostar came into existence. The traffic is manic!
Would be perfect for the commute to either Ebbsfleet or London and only an hour journey I think nowadays.
I imagine it would be best to either make a visit and suss out the local estate agents, or have a look online for property to rent. Perhaps a holiday let will become available over the out of season period? Look in Gites de France website?
