Hi I am just trying to understand how this site works. I am based in Tamworth and was looking for walking clubs! Lunch clubs would be good too. Looking to expand my group of friends. Work in Nottingham so do not get much opportunity to meet people locally.
Would love to hear from anyone who would like to set up a walking club in Tamworth.

well am not sure I am what your looking for re Walking Club . I live very near to Tamworth but am looking for new friends to walk my 3 dogs with , nothing like mountains or hiking sorry am 2 fat and old for that !I am young 50 ! am happy to do hour or so once or twice a week so not happy walking alone really , I always meet seem to meet the lone man with no dogs or strange look in the eye !! ne way if your still interested would like to hear from you Sue

ok well next week would be good , shall we meet at the car park at Milford think I know where that is - near Wimpey and a pub ? as long as walk not near roads as my dogs not 2 be trusted ! monday or friday , one of my cockers is rescue and can be bit vocal 2 start with !!

Hi girls, Just joined this forum, havent a clue how to use it but here goes. I am a Semi retired lady who walks with a regular group on Tuesday Mornings usually on Chasewater. I would like to walk at other times of the week locally or reasonably near, say 5 mile radius. I work (for a local charity) two days a week. I do love dogs but dont have one of my own. like a reaonable walk at medium pace but have a back injury so a little restricted. Love to hear from anyone. JennieW

welcome to the mad house - you will get hooked am spending way too much time clicking away and checking messages .
I live near Tamworth close to Kings Bromley/Alrewas
can drive , have 3 dogs . I am youngish 50 ! if you fancy a coffee sometime just send me a message . I lived in Lichfield for 20 years before moving here just over year ago . Sue

thanks for getting back to me, yes I thought it could get addictive! I live in Norton Canes, between Cannock and Brownhills and work in Penkridge, (used to be Rugeley which would have been handy for us to meet up but never mind). I was trying to work out somewhere we could meet halfway for a walk. How does Hednesford Hills sound to you?

Just realised you said you lived near Alrewas, sorry I was thinking of Armitage, on the edge of Rugeley. Our walking group is meeting at Barton Marina on Tuesday morning, 11.00am (weather permitting). It is an open group called Walk and Talk, anyone can come along and its ok to bring the dogs if you wish. why dont you join us?

there is a group called Walk and Talk running in Fazeley, usually a mid week day but not sure which day. If you are interested I could find out for you
