Mabeline 18 hour lipstick
      #164483 - 08/08/2008 20:25

Hi, does anyone use this? I used to use the 12 hour lipstick and found a colour I liked and it was very good and long lasting (though not 12 hours). They now seem to have discontinued this and changed to an 18 hour one for the same price but smaller. The colours are all different so can't find one as good as previously and it doesn't even seem to stay on as long as the 12 hour one! Can anyone recommend any other long lasting lipsticks?

I'm very taken with the new Clinique 8 hour lip gloss. It doesn't last 8 hours, although it might if you didn't eat, drink, or lick your lips a lot. But it lasts longer than any other lipgloss I've tried.

It does last a full 18 holes of golf!

And it doesn't dry my lips.

About £12.00 I think, but I used my Boots points.

Well, if I make the effort to buy all those special offers to save money, then the points are mine to fritter

Thats what I did last week. Used by Boots points to buy the 18 hour lipstick and some hair colour and now have no points left!

Have you tried Max Factor Lip Finity. It is the only one I find that stays on. It comes in 2 parts, the colour and the gloss. If you put on a lot of colour in the evening, you will find it is still there in the morning. It is about £10 but lasts forever.

I've used Lip finity too, for a few years now, it took a while to get used to, it didn't feel like lipstick, now I wouldn't go back, I'm never without colour on my lips, I very rarely have to top it up unless I'm off out again in the evening.

Thanks Susieblue and Sunbeam I will now look out for the Max Factor lipstick when next out shopping, sounds good to me. Nice to have two recommendations so I don't go out and buy yet another mistake as it is getting expensive!

Do you have any problems with dry lips with this product? I used it for a while, but my lips would start peeling within a few hours of application. Maybe they have fixed this problem. What is your experience?

No me neither Maggiecee, in fact I think my lips are better, especially in the Winter when I used to have a problem.

I recently bought some Lipfinity because of recommendations on the forum and I think it's the best lipstick I've ever used!

Really, really pleased to find a product that really does stay put. Thanks ladies!

Thanks to all your recommendations. I have now purchased some lip finity and it is really nice and lasts much longer than the Maybeline one.

I have some long lasting lipstick which is very good, cant remember the name right now. But over the weekend I was dressed and ready to go out and used the lipstick which was a red colour and decided it was too dark and wanted to use my pink. Tried to take the lipstick off and it would not budge!! Spent ages washing and wiping my lips and it still stayed on so went over it with the pink and went out.
