Walking Club in or around Dorking, Surrey
      #152977 - 21/07/2008 20:15

Not sure if I'm going about this in the right way?! Would like to know if there is a walking club in the Dorking area. I hope this will go on the walking forum!

Hi Sarah
I live in Redhill, which isn't that far away.
I would be happy to meet up for a walk, BUT I am not that fit and 5miles would probably be my limit. If you are a serious walker, you might find me frustrating!
Anne

Hi,

I live in Ashtead. I'm 61, retired and in the process of giving up smoking! Am concerned about putting on weight and need to do more excercise. Would love to walk with like-minded people who are are not yet into power-walking.
Tel. 01372 272552.

I am in Camberley but would love to explore the beautiful parts of Surrey! I am a teacher and am free any day until 2nd September so would love to join a walk. Also not what you might call 'athletic' build so five miles to start with sounds great.

Hello,

Thank you for replying. I shall be 60 this year, have recently given up smoking and have already put on the lbs!

I work part-time so I'm free most afternoons after 2 pm ish. I am not a power walker or into walking for miles and miles - 5 miles sounds good.

Sarah

PS This message is also in reply to Anne from Redhill

Hello Anne

I am off to Alicante on Friday but will be in contact when I return. I stopped smoking a few months ago - for how long, who knows! I enjoy walking more as a hobby rather than burning up fat! I have National Trust membership - my idea of joining was to be able to walk in safety. I am not retired but work part time.

Sarah
