Hello friends

I have often thought of staying at a Health Farm, but just never got round to it, have any of you ladies been to any and what did you love most about them ?

Sue x

I would love to have a few days on a health farm although my dream is usually a couple of days at a health spa with lots of lovely healthy massage treatments available and nice relaxing walks and lots of chill time

Friends and I go on the occasional 'spa day' it is brilliant and well worth it.
Wouldn't mind going for a w/e though. Very relaxing and total 'me time'

Plenty of places to choose from on here

http://www.goodspaguide.co.uk/spa.cfm

I've never stayed at a spa but I've had lovely days out at

http://www.lespa.com/

http://www.relaxationcentre.co.uk/

http://www.farmhousespa.com/

http://www.bedruthan.com/

(well actually I DID stay at the last one but it's a hotel with a spa rather than a spa you can stay at IYKWIM!)

I keep thinking I would love to go to a health spa for a few days, firstly to relax and lose a few pounds, and secondly to put my world in order by thinking through the problems in my life. My problem is that I would like to go alone but a friend told me that if you do that it can feel very lonely at odd times during the day. You will chat to people but you may find you are having lunch or dinner alone. I wonder if anyone has been alone and whether they would recommend it?

I went alone a few years ago. If I remember rightly, it was through W and H magazine. Mealtimes are not such a problem, as they sit you with other people on their own. Provided, of course, you get on with them. Because it was organised by W and H, the first night they organised a dinner and 2 ladies who had come together adopted me, which was lovely. The food was delicious so don't think you'll lose weight!!

I didn't enjoy it that much and decided it was not really for me. Only went because OH was away for a few days and had always fancied trying one. I think it would be more enjoyable with a friend but of course, can only speak personally.
