Have only just logged on! Hope you are all having a good Sunday whatever you are doing - enjoy your Sangria Spanishlady! I was planning to go for a walk today but it is pouring with rain here, so no walk today.

Ok,Spain, Sangria what I wouldn't give to swop!
Comfort eating chocolate and coffee, trying very hard to resist temptation of putting on the heating! It's July when does Summer arrive or did I blink and miss it?

Spanish Lady, can we all come - it's showery and windy here - not bad enough to need the heating on, but not brilliant.
I am trying to stay away from the breadbin today - I don't eat too much any more, but I think I eat too much bread - so have had lots fo fruit and am having muesli for my lunch time snack (a bit late) instead of a sandwich.
Bad luck about the night shift mjm - do you find you get cold in the night? I always do if I stay up late...I'd find it hard to stay away from hot chocolate!

Hi Val, Yes I get really cold in the night, usually about 3am onwards.
I love bread too Val, Have you tried the low GI breads?
I love them and will only buy them now, The breads with whole grains and nutty bits through it are brilliant for filling you up and satisfying you for longer, Burgen- soya and linseed is low GI, have you ever tried that?
Stay away from white, brown or even wholemeal breads, they shoot up your insulin levels and leave you feeling snacky again in no time.

Hi everyone, I'm on tenterhooks for tomorrow's weigh in after last night's dinner party. I won't be eating too much tonight though because I'm going to see PAUL SIMON!!!!!
Sorry, Spanishlady, that means I wont be able to come over for Sangria. Some other time, Sella.

Spanishlady, tried your Lemon and Onion salad, took it to work for lunch today and had it with some sliced chicken, really really lovely, thanks for telling me how to do it, I bet it would work well with fish to0.
Would love to come to yours for Sangria but have to go to work tomorrow and its a bit of a commute back to Cornwall, next time!! Plus, have to weigh tomorrow, so need to be extra specially good.
Sella Vee, have a great time at your concert, I love Paul Simon, in fact I had his gracelands CD on yesterday.

yes mjm, I usually try to buy bread with seeds and nutty bits in - even Hovis do one now. Even then, I think too much bread is not good for me - it makes me feel bloated.
Have done well today - until this evening. I'm really tired. Took d. to her youth club, stopped for petrol and bought sweets - first time in months. I ate some, looked at the calories on the packet and threw the rest away. So guess that's progress of a sort. Will be doing quite a bit of walking tomorrow - taking d. to Cardiff, so will hopefully walk them off.
Sella Vee - bet your concert is fantastic - look forward to hearing about it!
