Morning Girls,I've just got in from work,its so dark, miserable & rainy here today so could you all send me some ''SUNHINE''please!!!on the bright side of things I am off work for 3 whole weeks!!!  It will take me all that time to prepare myself for Covent Garden & to recover from it!  Have a lovely weekend girls whatever your up to...

Morning Chattycathy. I have been up since 5 am today - no idea why, but it often happens. Had a bit of a downpour which is great for the garden but hoping for sun later today. Will be out for dinner this evening followed by a party on someone's boat. Sunday I will be making lunch for OH and MIL then chilling out.

Morning Chatty....no sun here either if that makes you feel better....just started to rain.Apparently the most popular weekend of the year to get married??....Oh dear.,.

Morning Cathy,
I was just thinking of you! I think it's this weekend my YS is in NI, doing a walk to raise money for an NI charity- he's supposed to be going up three mountains, so I hope the weather's not too bad!
It's sunshine and clouds here - rain clouds definitely. However, OH and I have promised ourselves a day out, so that's what we're having - well, probably half a day, by the time he's fed & watered his animals. We're off to the Forest of Dean. OH wants to see the wild pigs there, but I'm not sure how lucky we'll be!

Good morning Cathy,
It's raining here in Kent too! 
This afternoon I'm going to a scrapbooking shop in Folkestone to make an exploding box for my Dad's 80th birthday!!! (It will be full of old photos, sayings and embellishments and unfolds rather than explodes!) 
It's only two weeks until we all get to meet up at Covent Garden and I can't wait! I've been practising "chatting" so that I don't lose my voice and miss out on talking to anybody!!!
I hope you have a good weekend and I'll see you soon.

Hi Cathy,
What a morning it is here today. Wet, dark, and even a little chilly, but I can see a little bit of blue intermingled with black clouds, so lets hope there could be a change all over the country.
We had the most beautiful day here yesterday, I think it was Bob Hope who said "Britain is the only plae where you get three seasons in one day". That man spoke a lot of sense.
The menu at CG sounds great doesnt it? I am getting so excited, two weeks today, and shall all be meeting up.
Whatever you are doing have a happy day.

Good Morning Cathy and All
It was a dismal wet yucky start to the day. The wind is picking up and blowing the nasty dark clouds away and the sun has just come out.
MY D has come off her jollies with a suit case full of washing and needs her clothes NOW, the other 500 items in her wardrobe just won't do, so I'm washing for the whole day. Thank goodness the sun is out!!

You lucky thing having sun this morning, we have had a strange June havent we, some days have been faboulous, and then 24 hours later it is like winter again.
I dont know if I told you all but I really hate ironing, and the iron we have makes me hate it all the more, its one of those digital things that beep all the time it drives me mad, so yesterday MOH brought me a new one it was PINK so I dont have to use the other iron ever again.

Heady, I know what you mean - I'm very excited too! (And a bit nervous!!!)
The exploding box sounds a lovely idea. When my father was 70, I wrote round to every member of the family I could find (He had 4 bros & sis and about 20 nephews and nieces, along with half a doizen cousins) and asked each of them to send me a photo, which I made into a special album for him - he was thrilled with it. I'm sure your F. will be delighted with his gift!
Good luck with the washing machine Perry - I have a couple of loads that need doing too - could you pop them in for me....I just have to pop out for a picnic!

I only iron my clothes, I got sick and tired of ironing everyones clothes, to find the lovely neat pressed pile of laundry, a heap on their bedroom floors!!!!
As for the four seasons in one day....you're not kidding. I don't suppose the sun will stay out all day today either

Good morning girls, such a shame your weather is not good this morning,
Ive got my bikini on as we speak, lounging out on the patio in 32 degrees, there is a slight breeze and the hunk is coming round with cocktails again, hhhhhhhaaaaaa, this is the life!!

Morning all,soon be lunch time here!!Sun out but cooler, suits me fine.Will be in the garden to work this afternoon.Tomorrow the weather forecast is rain,so will have to attack the ironing, Ive been ignoring it all week, piled up in my utility room where I can shut the door and wait till we have no clothes!!This evening is not planned yet, maybe just a meal and wine at home on the balcony.Mjm I can see your nose now coming over the alps, its sooooo longLOL Suee xxx

It is overcast and breezy here, still dry though. I am off in a minute to devote the day to myself, it is my last day of an empty house before ED gets home late tonight. I have been really strict about t.v and what I ate, also did some exercise. Will do more of the same after I have talked to my tomato plants in the greenhouse. I am begining to understand men and sheds, you get attatched (sp)( I am sugar/caffeine deprived) to those outdoor places. Or perhaps I am becoming one of those maiden aunt types, can you do that post marriage and four children???

Hi Cathy, It is bright and breezy here in the Forest, although the rain clouds are lingering about. I am so glad that I managed to do all the washing yesterday after our hol's ,can't stand having it hanging around.Our little cottage doesn't have a utility room,and the garage is OH's domain!!!
Val,The weather is O.K.for a picnic here but bring a coat just in case.The best place to see the boar is either Cinderford way or Parkend,but you will know if you are close,because the ground is churrned at the edges where they snuffle for food. Do take care as not all of them are friendly,and don't forget the sheep wandering about,nor the deer,it could be a very expensive trip otherwise.Have fun.
OH has gone off to work for a few hours,so I'm going to blitz the kitchen in a short while,maybe!but depends if I can drag myself away from the forum!?
Have a lovely weekend one and all,sending you all some 'virtual sunshine' and so wish I could join those of you going to C.G.it is a lovely place to go.Enjoy!

Loads of sunshine down here. I won't be on the forum long this afternoon as mjm is just on her way to collect me and then we are spending the rest of the day on the balcony of Gem's villa.

Hi Everyone. I'm quite new to the forums, just a few days. I'm in South West France and it is quite dull here today, though yesterday it touched 45C in direct sunshine. But never mind the weather what I would like to know is WHAT IS GOING ON at CG in 2 weeks time, I just can't help but be nosey on this, it sounds like it is going to be alot of fun whatever it is as everyone is very excited about it. Someone please let me know.

You will love the forum Venitia, we have such a laugh dont we Chatty and Summer?
We have just had a great day out at a medieval market in Lichfield, it was so interesting, with loads of interesting stalls, ceramic stands, woodturning, fudge making, lady morris dancers!! never seen them before, and some lovely local beer. My little dog, and OH are shattered as we walked a heck of a way and we are all weary now, in fact I feel a doze coming on. Hope your day was good also.
