Update on Job
      #143551 - 04/07/2008 15:08

Well I've just been told I have a job, not the one I wanted but at least I am still employed. Very very upset at getting the (what I consider to be) cr4p role, but I have to be thankful I have anything.

So thanks for all your good wishes

Don't worry TracieB, if you really don't like it you can look around for something else. It's said to be easier to find another job while you're already employed (which I'm glad you are by the way!!!)

At least you now have some breathing space while you decide if you want to find another job. You may find that the job changes enough to make it more bearable as it sounds like the company is restructuring. All the best...

Bad luck on not getting the job you wanted Tracie. Like the the girls have said, you have time to look for another if you really don't like this one.

Tracie - so sorry to hear that things didn't work out how you wanted. But, and it is a big but, you have a job, so an income coming in and payments to your pension etc.

Take the long term view, you won't be there forever. I agree with everyone that somehow it is easier to find another job when you already have one. Be brave, be strong and don't show that you are upset. You need the people there at the moment for references and it is amazing how gossip gets round, so keep your lips zipped and just do your job.
Hugs Foxie x.

I'm sorry you didn't get the job you wanted Tracie. Just hang in there, take Foxie's good advice and keep your eyes open for another job.

Tracie, just catching up with the forum news and found yours...

...so it's good news and bad news then. I'm sorry that you're not happy. If you do decide to look around for another job, I have found a few job search websites that are quite useful, and it's easy to set up email alerts with lists of suitable vacancies. I'm finding it quite satisfying to receive a clutch of email alerts every morning, it helps me to feel that I am being proactive about looking for another job.
