Hi Everybody, I'm home
      #143550 - 04/07/2008 15:06

I hope everybody has been behaving themselves while I've been away,NO!! Good, then all still on form.
Golly have I had a good time or what! and more importantly so has OH and GS.
It has been a real good old-fashioned family holiday. The weather was absolutely fabulous,it rained only twice, once was during the night and the second time we were in the swimming pool!!
G.S.(7)had his first attempt at 'upward'bungee jumping, and thought it was great.(Me - my heart was in my mouth and OH couldn't look)
Then the little monster roped me in for the disco dancing competition, but hey girls I didn't let you down,I managed a respectable second place, not bad for a grannie in her fifties,eh!!
Anyway, all home safely now, just loads and loads of washing and ironing to do.
Oh well, back down to earth with a bump.I really missed you all,it's lovely to go away but great to be home.

Glad you had a great and traditional holiday Annemari.
Its always back to square one after a holiday isn't it and as soon as when one walks in the front door I guess.
Your back and just in time to see the last few days of the tennis

Me dbverycherry, with my sister and also my brother on holiday back in the 1970s in Cornwall or possibly Wales

PS Annemari, Thanks for the PC have just picked it up. OH and I have planned a day out tomorrow, visiting the Forest - probably in the pouring rain, judging by the forecast!

Thank-you all very much for your 'Welcome back'messages. It's now 11.05p.m. All washing and ironing done and put in the airing cupboard.

Issi - Washing was on even before the kettle, then forum, then OH and I sat down to open the mountains of post. Thanks for the p.c's one and all.

I didn't do the forum dance in the competition as we all had to follow the instructors but I did try it later on when some line dance music started, and some young girls got up and had a go with me.Bless, they were only about 15/16
but it was really great fun. Can't have been to bad though as GS recognised it as 'Vicky's dance!!!

DBVC - Love your pictures, you look just like me in the centre one at the same age.

Cupcake - Have a wonderful time on the I.O.W.it's a beautiful place and if you like this sort of thing Osbourne House is fascinating. Um!Which character are you,may I ask? Julian,Dick,George,Anne or that rascal Timmy. I.O.W.(KIRREN ISLAND here you come)

Val - Which part are you visiting? Hope it doesn't rain too much though.

Have a good weekend everybody.

Thanks again,

annemari

Hi annemari , we're following your suggetions and going to Cannop Ponds - ummed and ahed because of the rain, then decided we'd go anyway. OH desperately wants to see the wild pigs - not sure how lucky we'll be there, but it will be nice to ahve a few hours out together anyway -it seems a long time since the last day out we had!
