Good morning girls, the weekend is just around the corner, have you planned anything nice, or is it just going to be more of the same old same old??
This is my last day off today, then Im working Saturday and Sunday night, so nothing remotely exciting here Im afraid, the sun is struggling to push thro, so if you could all just go outside for a minute, and take a big deap breath and blow it out up to the sky to help shift the clouds, that might help, so off you go!!

mjm....I have just got back in doors after blowing up at the sky....and I'm hyperventilating now
I am off to Covent Garden to finalise our Forum lunch for the 19th...its a lovely sunny day down here in the south so MOTHEROFPEARL and I might just sit out on the traace and watch the worl go by with a large glass of wine....
Its a tough job but someone's got to do it!!!

It's 9pm her and watching TV (Rove an Aussie chat show, has Lenny Henry, Brain McFadden and Will Smith on) and browsing the forum, hey I am woman I can multi-task!
Am working tomorrow, have early morning express WW meeting, followed by hour meeting. Will leave at 7am so can get coffee at fave cafe, then petrol (liquid gold) before meeting while it's quiet.
Sunday OH and I will go out to Fave cafe for breakfast followed by walk along the river if fine (not likely to be as raining at moment.
Thats about it.

I'm still on my time, the house is empty until midnight tomorrow when ED gets home. I feel really relaxed so what did I do? So far today I have cleaned all my downstairs floors, washed 3 large rugs and a runner from the kitchen, still have loads of time for my exercise routine, a little time in the garden and still feel relaxed. I have concluded that I need to be wealthy so that I can continue in this mode and fit in some writing too. There now, it's out in the cosmos. Happy days.

Life for me at the moment is hell let loose! I have a morning to myself so catching up on work and wallowing in the peace and quiet, until 1 pm when I have to go and pick my mother up from having her cataract operation. We have had to arrange for it to be done here in Devon privately, even though she lives in Sussex. The reason for this is because she has dementia (though says there is nothing wrong with her memory!) and we are all trying to get her to stop driving. To do this she has to redo her test. So she needs her cataract doing, the she can get new glasses and then, provided her driving licence comes through (it was up in Oct 2007 and no-one knew), she can then take the test, fail it, and then we can take the car away! I'm also having to put her flat on the market as she is living way beyond her means and that has gone down like a lead balloon!
At the same time OH has launched his boat and is taking it down the Exe with a mate and hopes to get it to Torbay today. I will have to go and pick them up later.
At the same time ES, his partner and my beautiful grandson arrive tomorow afternoon so that ES can go with his father on the boat as far as Cornwall. It is forecast gales tomorrow anyway, so sailing is a no-no. They will head off hopefully on Sunday which means I have to drive them to Torbay then later I with DIL, Mother and grandson will hopefully meet them later wherever they may be.
Tues I have to take mother back to Sussex in time for her to have her hair done. Have to stay overnight as it is so far. Then get back and continue with family until next weekend. ES and family go home Sun. OH has to do extra work Mon/Tues/Wed even though he is on hols. Then have a few more days away with OH and boat (I'm no sailor!)
Wow I wish I was joining you lot on the 19th but as you can see, have too much going on at the moment! At least I have a good excuse not to do any housework - no time!

Can't decide what to do today, there are loads of jobs I could do at home but really don't want to do that, I'm a bit unsettled at the momant don't really know why, Bio rythms or something. I might go and have a mooch round some shops to cheer me up, the forecast for the weekend is dire so as the sun is still shining and my nearest Cotswold town is only 9 miles away it's probably a good idea, even if I only buy the veg for the weekend it's got to be better than watching the tele. I've already had a good grumble on the 101 post so I'm all set up!

mjm. Why dont you come down to Kent where the sun is shining yet again, and I will come to Scotland and get away from the traffic and the flat dry countryside.
I,m feeling grumpy and exhausted today after a busy week. So, must try to have a relaxing w/e(usually even more exhausted by Mon!)
Just checked diary!!! Yes!!! It is Open Houses w/e in our local town. About 40 houses and buildings to look round and snoop in. Last year, had a brilliant time being nosy and pretending to be interested in Elizabethan architecture, while actually just comparing lifestyles!!

I haven't got a cleaner!!! so that's what I am doing. Nice day tomorrow tho'. Kind friend has given me and D &OHs voucher for lunch at Three Choirs vineyard (Newent again!!!) with wine tasting and tour of vineyard. It is a very nice restaurant so really looking forward to it. Glug glug! Not sure who's driving?!!

I'm at work and I just want to go home. I've got mostly up to date with my work because I'll be on my holidays from 2.30 today!
We are going to the Isle of Wight for the week....lots of lovely walks...maybe a swim (I'm very optimistic about the weather!).....pub lunches and a tad too much to drink of an evening!
Then when we get home from the holiday it will only be a week to wait til Covent Garden!!!! Such excitement in my dreary little life!!!!

Liza, I love house snooping, it sounds like a good idea having open days! I would love to come to Kent thanks, but the sun has just come out, so maybe next weekend when Im off, your welcome anytime.

We are only going for 5 days...so leave early on Monday and back teatime on Friday. We live sort of opposite the Isle of Wight so it's actually not that far to go. We are staying on the southern most tip of the island though so it feels as if you are a long long way from home!
And we are staying in a VERY POSH hotel...as befits my station in life......

Gorgeous here today...and soooooooooo hot!!!..Shouldnt be tho..we should have rain and be miserable..saying that I am stuck in doors working away on my course...ready for the 1pm knock off..when OH should arrive home in time to take me out for lunch....
Now this has been the plan for the last 3 months.... He should finish at 1pm on a friday..but never does...this friday he has promised he will ...Yeh right..I dont think so.. although I am staying positive and not had any lunch just yet...
Have I answered the ??....Tomorrow up early to take ES to town...last week before the London Palladium and he is buzzing...he says the adrenaline rush is amazing on stage...I will no doubt get goose bumps and cry the whole time he is on stage!!!...Good for confidence building..his not mine!!
Still trying to sell the boat so may take it out up river sunday weather permitting...
Have a great weekend all of you..and sorry Mand that you have to work.....
Just for you.......I shall take a huge puff and get you some sun up north ..Here goes!!!!...Xxx

It's my day off today but I made sure I was up and respectable (no laughing please!) by 8am because someone is arriving today to exchange my gas meter. The appointment was for any time between 8am and 1pm and yes you've guessed it, it's now 20 to 1 and still no-one has turned up! I am looking forward to phoning them and having a moan if no-one is here by 1!
I've done the housework and ironing this morning, yawn, and still need to go shopping and would like to do the garden too, but now the sky is looking a bit threatening so I hope I'm not thwarted. I hope this gas man or lady turns up soon so that I can get all my bits and bobs done today!

OH I see! I didn't mind anyway gigi...I wasn't offended or upset or anything!!!
I don't spend ALL of my time at work on the forum...obviously!!! They might notice something was wrong if I did! It's just a little pre-holiday treat for me....
and the boss has gone on holiday already...and I'll delete all the history before I leave the building!!!!

Good afternoon Girls.
I'm just back from work, have you missed me? Blimey work was traumatising today, I had to do 2 shops with clients and one of them tried to get out of the car whilst I was driving along!!!!
The weather here is glorious, it's a pity I'm in doors all day, I have to do some h/w my house is looking like a midden!!
I've got nothing planned for the weekend, I'll just see what the weather is doing before I know what I'm doing.
Awful shame the weather is grotty with you mjm.....ha

Work today and having noticed the cobwebs on the landing this morning I know what I'll be doing later! Somehow I've managed to work right through lunch (one rush job after another today - everyone wants an answer NOW). I'm looking forward to getting home and a large glass of something red as the sun goes down (that'll be about the time I get to relax tonight). Roll on Saturday...

Quite a busy one for me out tonight with a group of friends... and I think it will be a late one. Am staying over at someones house ........ then back home in the morning get changed see son and GF off on holiday then straight off out to a bbq very early afternoon until I drop with exhaustion I think ( lots of children and adults). So sunday will be spent recovering , shopping washing etc.

I'm just finishing the ironing so that I can pack. Me and the better half are off to Kent (just outside Rye) for a week of doing nothing very much. I have a list of NT gardens I want to see and photograph with the intention of turning the grounds of Ashbee Towers into something wonderful (fumph!). I'll read what you've all been doing when I get back...

Well, I was planning a quiet day today, the washing, a little shopping - then - the carpenter turned up to start on my laundry room. He pulled everything out into my hall and is resiting the sink unit and appliances. I thought this would begin on Monday. The upshot is that we will be living in a mess over the weekend and I think I will be going to the launderette tomorrow - yeuk.

Mine started of with a visit to Nurse to change dressing after Wed minor op then off for CT scan. I know how to live.
Tomorrow we drive down to Somerset to a friend's wedding which I'm hoping the weather stays nice for or at least dry.
Back on Sunday night and then another fun packed week visiting the hospital again for results etc.
For all those going on holiday have a great time and for those who aren't have a good weekend anyway.
