Well girls I did it and had a great day. I walked with my friend Dawn who lives in Devizes and she brought along another friend, Trish, who set a sterling pace from the start. My 233 miles training on the Taff Trail and Beacons set me in good stead and we crossed the finishing line completing our 20 miles in just over 7 hours which included rest stops, lunch and queuing for the loo - no wet knickers for us!
Dave met us at each of the cheering points. At 14.5 miles he reported that my fundraising total had gone up by £140 thanks to Pat - just the spurt I needed. Had my legs massaged by a nice man at the end (check out www.justgiving.com/sueyoungman for the look of pleasure on my face when I discovered the massage tent).
Felt amazingly well when I got home and was dancing around the house singing 'I have walked for 20 miles and I could walk for 20 more'. No real problems today and have just got back from lunch at my favourite restaurant in the Bay. I don't want slip into my bad ways and lose this level of fitness so am up for the next Cardiff & Brecon Group walk.
A big thank you for all your messages of support

Well done Sue. Don't worry about losing your fitness - you can lead us all on some long walks. The only problem about our walking group is that you may lose your voice from all the talking and laughing.
Look forward to seeing you soon.

Well done Sue, so pleased for you. So what was your final total? Please dont say you are going to try and bring us up to your fitness level, I will have to do some kickin and screaming, I think Pat tries very hard as it is!

Well done Sue! We all know you won't be walking again till you have had your face done, but I had no idea that that involved good looking men in a tent..............I am too old for all this. What is your total?

Thanks for the cheque Pat. Total currently stands at £1350 but there's still a bit more to go on. Sorry about the face but when you marry a Youngman you have to make an effort!!

Well done Susie - my utmost admiration for all those who did double what we did as the forum girls.
