Nah, Tyrone and Molly are the next Jack and Vera.
Maria and Liam are dull. They would have moved out to a nice semi in the suburbs eventually.

Iīm not the only one?
now, I donīt live in uk any more, but Iīm a firm fan of corrie.
AND I am a proud owner of DVD collections 1960-1969, 1970-1979, and 1980-1989. only eight episodes /year though
but what I want to know is, and I do know itīs ancient history now in the year of 2008, but am I the only person in the world whoīs a fan of HILDA OGDEN????

hildaīs curlers! The thing is my grandma always wore curlers in that way, and it seeing Hilda brings a smile to my face.

Eddie Yeats, of course! Loved the ditsy barmaid, Raquel, too.
Don't actually watch Corrie these days as too busy with the kids, but not sure if it's as good. Do like Steve, and they do have some funny scenes at the taxi place.
Corrie's at its' best when funny. If you want doom and gloom, watch Eastenders!

when I lived in uk, i really got hooked on coronation street, and I still am.
Eastenders I did watch, and liked.
but the thing is, Coronation street had lots of humour, warm friendly every day humour...I hope it still has.
have to say; I sort of hated it when Sally and kevin took over Hildaīs home....and they CHANGED the place!!! where were the ducks and the murial, I ask??, an end to an era that was..the ogden era

WISPA! I recognized that ...wummann! Hilda and stanley on their second honeymoon! She kisses him and he asks whats that and she says : WUMMAN, stanley , WUMMAN!
