Well done, blossom,as you sure put me to shame ,doing as I do,and jumping in the car occasionally, just to fetch my grandson from school.(15 minutes walk away). I always think it won't take me long to do this or that, and then wham!! its too late to walk. I will definitely try next week,as it is "Walk to School Week" we did it last year,I'm sure we can do it again. You've thrown down the gauntlet, haven't you,you crafty thing!!!
Here's bucket loads of moral support!!

Well done! If you do half an hour a day, in a couple of weeks you will really start to notice the difference in how you feel. I've got two dogs that I take for two walkies a day, 20 minutes at lunchtime and then 45 minutes late afternoon. Sometimes I really don't feel like it, but I always feel better afterwards!!
Don't overdo it though, 30 minutes a day is a very good start!
You could always get a dog!!

Good for you! Reminds me that I don't do nearly enough. At the moment I do half an hour (around 2 miles) first thing with the dogs (out around 6-ish but don't wake up until I get back and get a coffee and try to get out lunchtimes for a few minutes although recently I've got too addicted to the forum to go out for long - I've started bringing a book to work in the hope that I can get the enthusiasm to walk over to the abbey grounds and read for a few minutes so I get at least a short walk. Now the weather's so good I'm hoping to get out some evenings too.
10 years ago it was nothing for us to do a couple of 20 mile walks at the weekend and 8 or 9 miles at least one evening a week but now my feet are complaining after about 6 miles (10 years and 2 stone older is the problem). You've reminded me I need to try harder!

I walk with a friend twice a week, five miles each walk, its a power walk too, so no dilly dallying for me.
I would love to do it everyday but I dont, I will be getting out on my bike now the weather is better, OH has got a tow bar on his car now so we can take our bikes away with us for the day, cant wait!!
Ive started with my trampett again now too, so its all go!!

Well done blossom - and good luck in keeping it up. I do a couple of miles most days and 4 miles once of twice a week. This weather is making a big difference, a bit of sunshine really helps :-)

Well done Blossom - keep up the good work! I walk into work every day, and home again - only 15/20 minutes each way, but it adds up to just over half an hour, so not too bad. It's a start, but I know I need to do more. I guess 30 minutes all in one go would be better? Anyway, good luck - I'm going to try my best to keep on walking (I could get a lift into work) and add to it where I can. xx
