Big Toe Nails removed
      #113779 - 12/05/2008 13:55

Hi, had my toe nails removed years ago on both my big toes. Its sandal time of year and I wondered if anybody had any better tips than the ones I use. Nail Varnish painted directly on does not look too good, False nails with extra strong glue last at the most one day, if that. Finally I paid to have acrylics done in a beauty salon. After repeated attemps they just 'came off'. I think possibly I have exhausted all avenues but would love to hear from anybody knowing better or even being in the same predicament! Thank Youi

Hi kgldsun - my Mum had both hers removed too and was quite self conscious at first. But in the end (as nothing worked)she just painted the rest of her toes and left the big ones!

I have a friend who has one missing. She paints the rest and gets on with it - it doesn't seem to bother her! I thought it would as she does do her nails really nicely and always has the nails on her hands done with gel, but she says there is nothing she can do about it so refuses to let it bother her.

I say stop worrying and wasting money - just paint the rest if you wish and get on with life. A nice french finish on the rest may be a more natural and subtle approach, however my friend goes for it with bright colours!
