I always only ever used to wear gold...my engagement, wedding & eternity rings are gold...but I also like silver, so now tend to wear both at the same time. That said, however, I do like to match my earring & necklace colour. I tend to think that silver looks prettier in the summer. I can't wear dangly earrings (due to wearing too heavy earrings in my pierced ears when I was younger), so tend to stick to stud earrings but like to make a statement with my necklaces...sorry, I digressed a bit towards the end!!

Used to prefer silver. I think it may have been more trendy when I was a teenager! I like both now and also like white gold. I try and match it to whatever I'm wearing. In case you're getting the wrong impression I don't insist on precious metals!

White gold or silver for me - yellow gold makes my skin green (or is it that OH keeps buying my jewellery from Honest Sid's Jewellery Emporium!)

Used to prefer gold...as in yellow gold. But fashion change and you have to keep up, plus daughters have a big influence! Would always go for white gold or silver now. Of course platinum would be best.

I wear both as I have some gold jewellery I like (bought for me at special times) but I really do prefer silver as it suits my skin tone better.

I think skin tone can dictate what suits you best - but sometimes it's good to have a change! My watch has silver and gold and I often wear a magnetic bracelet in silver and gold so it all blends together really.

I've got gold wedding ring and lots of other bits as it was fashionable years ago but now I quite like silver so tend to mix n match. If I had to start again now I'd probably opt for silver but in 10 years time no doubt gold would be the fashion..............

I have always worn silver, white gold or platinum. For a 20th wedding present OH brought me new rings in Platinum and diamonds but when we married in 1987 I had white gold, with sapphires and diamond and had to have them made up as there wasn't the variety then. If I wear cheap metal it gives me a rash.

Always silver or white gold. Yellow gold looks awful against my skin tone - yes I've had my colours done,I'm a Winter which means cool tones suit you better. System has changed now so I mught get myself done again.

It depends on my mood but I do prefer silver these days. Usually it's my gold wedding ring, titanium (silver coloured) magnetic bracelet, silver watch and silver or coloured earings but I cracked the watch face last week and haven't got it fixed yet so have an old diving watch today instead.

Love jewellery - cheap as chips or expensive as it comes . Always wear platinum (wedding ring, engagement and eternity rings)and mix with silver or gold depending on my mood/clothes/season. Have a thing for watches (no handbag or shoe thing for me). Have loads and always match them to my necklace, braclets and earrings. Have taken to wearing my mum's wedding ring on the little finger of my right hand -the only place it fits!
