When I pick the children up from school, I can't wait to dash home and put my dressing gown on because it's so comfortable and easy to wear!!
What do you wear round the house?

A lot of the time its jeans and T shirts and I look like something the cat dragged in. So because it is so easy to look a frump, especially at my age (53) I do try and make an effort sometimes. Okay, not the full shabang but maybe a bit feminine because I am really very girly but sometimes don't see the point in making the effort, when I am at home by myself. Anyway today I am in a new summer skirt and camisole top, as the weather is so gorgeous and am making the most of it. Haven't bothered with makeup but moisturiser first thing and factor 20 suntan lotion now. Always wash and blowdry my hair every morning anyway. Besides, my jeans need washing! Although I have a very cuddly dressing gown, tend to only wear that first thing in the morning.

Oh my golly gosh. As an "Owl" sleeper,I can't think of anything worse than to get into my nightie or a dressing gown at that time of day, If the weather is good,we like to play outside with little one,but if it is miserable, out come the games or if and only if I'm feeling sharp I'll try the PS with little one, usually he is too quick for me. Still we have a laugh. Either way to preserve my dignity it's jeans and a top for me.

For those days that I go nowhere, except to bin some junk by the side of the house, or take the dog for a walk up the lane a mere 1 minute walk from home, I wear old, comfortable clothes. Like today - 3/4 beige pants, an Indian sleeveless burned organge cotton top, and on top of that a tunicy Indian peachy long top. And a pair of well worn shoes. And not a stitch of makeup! I am wearing some perfume though - Shiseido!

Jeans, jeans, jeans - boring but OK in case someone knocks at the door! I don't like showing my arms and tend to wear sweatshirts or long sleeve loose tops most of the time - my H was trying to tempt me out of my 'uniform' yesterday but am much too self conscious. My glamorous neighbour introduced me to White Stuff kaftans - they are great because they have some shape and come in really nice patterns, but have to say that I need to lose the tummy before I can get back into them for summer!
I hardly wear make up, though though I do need to pencil in my eyebrows everyday and I wear mascara if I'm going outside, but I always always wear perfume even if I'm not going anywhere.

If I am just staying in all day, I put on jogging bottoms and a t-shirt, or jeans and a t-shirt, depending how fat I feel!!, I usually feel like a balloon after my nightshift!!

Denims - usually levis, but today as a concession to the sun a pair of monsoon wide leg ones.
I do usually try with my top half though, but because I wasn't planning to leave the house today I'm just wearing a Primark £1.50 round neck 't' shirt.
I usually get changed into what I call my 'lounging pants' (in practice pyjama bottoms that I don't wear to go to bed) at some point during the evening. I choose a comfy top to match from some that I've got in my wardrobe that are past their best!

At home I'm usually to be found in jogging bottoms which have never been jogged in! I call them "trews" for some reason. My top half is usually a t-shirt with a cuddly cardi or jumper on top if it's cold.
I work in the very small office at my employer's home where there's no need to "dress up". In fact I tend to wear my oldest clothes to work, because it isn't the cleanest house to be in, if you get my drift! I really miss wearing smart 'office' clothes. I always used to be quite girly but over the years I have gravitated towards comfort - currently I own one dress and no skirts at all! Yet somehow I still spend a fortune on clothes....

I'm with you miclor. T shirt and the M&S jogging bottoms that are £9.50 - they look quite good. Straight legs with a bit of stretch for comfort. Cardigan if it's chilly.
The office is quite informal so it's normally smart cas for that.
I don't posess a dress as I'm VERY long waisted so I've a whole collection of skirts and tops.
Just sorting them out for the summer!!! at present.

I wore 'business' clothes for almost 40 years and loved looking smart but jacket and trousers/skirt/dress isn't house wear. I swore I wouldn't wear jeans all the time when I retired last spring but got a bit lazy over the winter and couldn't even be bothered with thick tights and a skirt as an alternative to trousers. I really want to wear floaty, impractical hippy things which is much easier in the summer. Today I feel good in wide leg black linen pants, an embroidered T-shirt and some silly high wedge espadrilles (white canvas with big black spots). I never wear trainers except on the beach and always wear at least tinted moisturiser and blusher. Now it's warmer I have also gone back to adding mascara. Always use perfume and wear some jewellery.
