DAY 37, .....Review Day.
      #110877 - 06/05/2008 09:02

Good morning girls, just got back from work, its a lovely sunny day again here, so hopefully I will get out and enjoy it this afternoon.

I had a binge free night again last night, thats 37 days and no junk food at work!!

We are now more that a 3rd of the way through our 90 day programme, and if you are willing to exchange your bad habits for good ones, then you will be setting yourself apart from those who are not ready for change yet.

Every 7 days we have a review day, so while you are celebrating your discipline and your perserverence, take a look back at your week and look forward to the one a head.

So I want as many of you as posible, to tell us how you have been getting on , your highs and your lows, what you are enjoying, and what you are not.

For all the girls who dont post on the Flabuless threads on a daily basis, it would be nice to hear from you on the review days, just to let us know how you are getting on.

I will catch up with you all this afternoon.

Enjoy the sunshine if you have it, this might be all we are getting!!

top of the morning to you all hope the sun is shining on you.
review day Wow how have I been getting on ,well for one think I don`t regard food as an enemy tying to trip me up and undo my attemps at getting slim, not sure how I am doing foodwise but I think I am eating less some days I am in much more control of my drinking and am having lots of AF days ,
I feel thinner not sure if I am as I am not weighting myself!!!!!!!!
and that feel strange as Iwas a hopper on and off the scales several times a day.
This coming week going to be very busy again , we are dancing in the town square for the mayor stil need to do lots of practice ,my niece is coming from France to stay for a week with her husband and baby .
I know it will be back to back eating and drinking the French love their food.
Audrey is very slim so I am going to model myself on her and eat as she does maybe Ican get some tips, and running around after Adam should help with the exersising
Hope everyone is doing well
Love when I get encouraging PM s keep them coming ,
gracias gracias mjm for your wonderful early morning posts .

When do you allow newcomers to join?. I need motivation and fast as summer is approaching and don't want to buy new stuff again as I hardly wore the ones from last year as the weather has not been that good.
However the sun is here and down here in London it is lovely.
Am at home today as daughter is ill. I have to keep out of the kitchen as I love nibbling which I can't do at work.

Good morning girls,
I feel that I no longer consider food as something to eat as quickly and as much, as possible. I still struggle a little with the slow eating but I now have to leave food on my plate as I feel full sooner!! - Unheard of before as I was a leading member of the'clear your plate' society
I also find that I really relax when I listen to PMK and, after feeling stressed out for so long, that in its self is a bonus. Yesterday, several friends commented on my new slimmer self. My head was getting turned!! I DO feel more confident and happier with myself. I can even look in the mirror starkers and accept myself, which is nothing short of a miracle.
It's sooo great to read all the posts whether positive or a little less sure. I know that the encouragement & love helps me more that I realised, so a big 'Thankyou' to everyone, especially mjm for taking the time & trouble with the wonderful posts post, and good luck for the coming week!
Anne xx

Well I now find that I can control my eating, before it was the other way round and I would often find myself eating, not because I was hungry but often because I was bored and it was something to do. Looking back through the recycling bin this week i find there are still to many wine bottles so I have resolved to cut down my wine consumption drastically. That should help with the weight loss and will be healthier in the long run. I have not kept up to date with my journal this week because I was busy and the weather was nice and I was outside a lot so I just forgot but i will try and do better next week. I have done well with exercising even going for a short run before work, so that is a real plus.

Hello mjm and everyone. It's a beautiful day here and I hope it's the same where you are.

Honeybunny I have just been resolving exactly the same as you - less wine is a must. Generally I'm feeling much better about food - there are still two mint chocolates in my handbag from last week when met PatJ for coffee. I can't decide whether to keep them as souvenirs of my restraint or just to sling them!

I didn't do so well yesterday - I had to work all day, which made me miserable and we were very late eating, so then I ate too much and fel really bloated and uncomfortable, but today I am back on track, and started with a good walk this morning - I'm really excited about that. In fact I'm going to go and do a post about it now!

Hi! well done to you all for sticking to your guns so well! is it too late to join in? I could really use the motivation. have been going to the gym regularly (swimming, tai chi, pilates and the like) for almost three months but my weight hasn't budged. Have resolved to be more strict with my eating habits. I would really like to lose about a stone which has crept on over the last two years. Do you all find it so much more difficult to lose/maintain since hitting 40 (I am 46 now)?

I'm able to wear clothes I've not been near in a long time - had a 'try-on' last night and I've got a couple of size 14 skirts that will soon be wearable again (haven't been near them for a very long time). I feel less bloated than before, my IBS seems under control and despite having had the dreaded monthly cramps for the last few days I've not even been tempted to snack. Something inside me has certainly changed. Just hope I've now got new habits and won't slip back to the old ones.

Good afternoon girls, its great to hear back from you, and you all seem to be doing brilliantly,

Spanishlady, you continue to inspire us all with all your dancing and partying, I wish I had your energy levels!! I hope you enjoy your next week with your family.

Anne, it sounds like the tide has turned for you too, its a wonderful place to be in isnt it, feeling confident and happy with yourself (starkers) too, Im impressed!!

Honeybunny, I know exactly where your coming from, it feels great being back in control of your food, and not to be eating just because your bored or just out of habit, that was me too.

Anyone who exercises before going to work.......RESPECT!!!

Valaber, what can I say, maybe you could throw the chocs in the bin, if you get a great feeling of satisfaction, then yes leave them there. If you dont, take them back out and frame them, just to remind yourself of how brilliant you are doing.
Congratulations on your walk, very impressed!!

Christina brilliant, when I read your post about having a "try on", thats exactly what I do, and it feels great doesnt it?, try leaving that size 14 skirt hanging out side the wardrobe, it will call to you! I have got a pair of grey jeans hanging where I can see them, I have got a long way to go yet, but I WILL be wearing them this year.
What bad habits Christina, you dont have any, do you!!

.

Marylou and rotschopf, if you want to join in with the Flabuless girls, go to page 4-"Flabuless Forumers to clirify", and read that thread, it will give you all the info you need, PM me if you still want to join in, it will be great to have you on board.

Just wanted to say well done mjm for keeping this going. I fell off the wagon at last weigh-in but have been following PMK far better of late and I just know I have not put on any weight (okay I jumped on the scales this morning but promise I wont do it again until Monday!). Just wanted to thank you for motivating us when we need it.
All the best
Vicks

Interestingly, I didn't make time to listen to PMK every day last week and I don't feel I've done as well recently. OH led me astray over the bank holiday by plying me with wine, but I'm back on board today.

The thing that has amazed me is how little I am snacking compared to how I used to eat.

I must make more effort to exercise, though we did go swimming at the weekend, and I did better than I expected to do by swimming 32 lengths. And I have moved up a notch on one of my belts!

Good luck everyone and welcome to our newcomers.

Keep going everybody I have also stopped standing on scales i know how much I weigh and they really demotivate you if they dont agree with how much you think you should have lost it is only a number how you feel is more important
We can support each other and succeed

Hi Vicks, glad to hear you are back on track with things, step away from those B***** scales!!!!

I think I will start adding a pound to anyones weight at the next weigh in day, if they have been anywhere near the scales, what do you think? ( you will just stop telling me wont you!!!!), Anyway vicks, 5 days to go until you can officially step back on to the scales, are you worried??

Sella_Vee, I hope you enjoyed your weekend of wine, and your OH leading you astray!!, great news about the lengths, and the notch on your belt, Im impressed.

Hi nightingale, make the most of the next 5 days, make them count for you.

Suee, why do you think you are snacking?, this week I will be concentrating on emotional eating. Are you bored or lonely, upset about something, food is not the answer, sit and ask yourself "why", before you put something in your mouth, get in tune with what you are "feeling".

Hi Kate, how was the gym, do you feel better for it? You are soooo right, its not what we have lost, its how we feel inside that counts.

Good luck for the next few days girls, give it your all, and you will be rewarded.

Good for you lydanne, well done with the bicky box.

Your not on your own, I think many of us have problems when it comes to eating slowly, myself included, we just have to do the deap breathing exercise before we start to eat, that might be the key to stop us eating without paying attention, if we are too quickly, we might miss the full signal, and then its too late!

Good luck for the rest of the week.
