I use moisturiser & foundation everyday but would like to find a good tinted one so I could just use one product(with a SPF) for the summer....can anyone help??.....at the moment most of my makeup is clinique purely because the girl in boots is so helpful and always picks the shades etc....
does anyone know of any good products and also the advice to go along with which shade to use??
Clinique use to do City block tinted but now only do invisible.
thank you Cerys xx

Hi Cerys, I find Clarins products good. They have a new tinted moisturiser with SPF20. It is called Super restorative tinted cream. It is good for the dry skin that comes with age!!!!!! I am sure if you browse around the shop you will se all sorts and some counters will offer you free samples before you commit yourself to a wrong cream/lotion. Happy browsing/shopping.

Cerys,
Laura Mercier do a good tinted moisturiser. If you have a Space NK near you, you can have your makeup done for you without any sales pitch if you ask them in advance.

I have one from M&S and find it fine. Bought a Clinique one too from an airport duty free shop because I was going abroad with only hand luggage and didn't have one of less than 100ml for security More expensive than M&S but just as good. I always use a tinted moisturiser rather than a foundation, which emphasises the lines and wrinkles

Lancaster do a wonderful version and it comes in different tones. Any House of Fraser should have it , or try online.

Yes, the Mac one is really good expatuk, I tried it last year and bought another one just recently. They are so much lighter to wear in the summer than foundation, even if I use foundation I use only on the areas that require it, not all over. Plasmo xx

Vichy do a lovely one that you can buy from most chemists - it is mositurising and has good coverage, also spf - you can usually get samples

I have tried many from the expensive (Laura Mercier) to mega cheap (Collection 2000). Best one I have found is No 7. Not usually a No 7 fan but this is tops for me. (Although they have recently changed the packaging and it says New on it - hope this does not mean they have tampered with it!) You get loads and it is SPF 15.

Another vote here for Laura Mercier, SPF 20. The Bobbi Brown one is also good, but I keep coming back to Laura Mercier because I think it's the best. It's a little more expensive than some but I find a little goes a long way as I never put a thick layer on. The Mac one does sound good though so may try some of that too.

I personally would never buy something like this online without having tried it. I'm lucky from that point of view because I have a Space Nk just down the road and also go to central London several times a week. Otherwise, it would have to be samples, I guess.

Sorry i live in North Wales...nothing is 'down the road'!!
Its either plain old boots/superdrug or an hour journey to chester or Manchester which is why online is a good option if they will let me have samples....but thank you for your suggestions...

I use clinique tinted moisturiser with sfp too. I use other clinique products but am thinking of changing as the toner takes my nail varnish off - but it does make my face feel clean!! Anyone else have this problem?

Cerys Nivea Visage tinted moisturiser only comes in about three colours (I use natural) and it should be available from most chemists. I like it and it's nto too pricey. The other, more expensive, option is "You Rebel" by Benefit. It adjusts to your skin tone and is SPF15. I have a friend who swears by it. Haven't got this myself (yet!) but really like other Benefit products. If you can't get to a department store, you can buy on-line.

Just wondering...do you ladies put it on your neck too? I have used TM before and found it came off on my clothes around the neckline. Very conscious of having a beige face and white neck!

Hi Cerys, have you tried the Debenhams in Llandudno? Haven't been there yet, but they usually have good makeup counters.
