DAY 36,............The Tipping Point.
      #110441 - 05/05/2008 08:24

Good morning girls, its a lovely sunny morning here, I hope the sun is shinning where you are.

There comes a point in the creation of any new habit where it becomes easier to do something than not to do it.

This is true wheather the habit is a good one(exercise, being kind, eating when your hungry) or a bad one (smoking, or dieting).

With each of the new habits that we are creating while doing this system, notice when you come to "the tipping point" that point when it has become easier to eat what you really like, rather than eat what you are supposed, and when it becomes easier to stop when you are full, rather than to stop when your plate is empty!

Good luck for today.

xxx

Good morning Spanishlady, I am eating much less too, cant believe how little food I need to fill me up, and how much food I used to eat, out of habit.

You were so busy yesterday Spanishlady, no wonder you were hungry, you just needed extra fuel to keep shaking it!!

I thing we all have hungry days once a month!!

Hello mjm and Spanish Lady. It's a lovely morning here too and I want to get out in the garden, but I have to do some work, so I'm going to be very strong and get off the forum in a moment so that I can actually get on with what I'm meant to be doing.

I agree it is getting so much easier to eat less. when I take my d. to her youth club, I often used to stop at the garage on the way home and buy some chocolate or sweets - I haven't done that for weeks. And when we went out for coffee the other day, I was given two mint chocolates - they're still in the bottom of my handbag, which is unheard of for me. I still have to work on eating slowly and doing more exercise and the arthritis does make the latter very difficult - but I will persevere!

Thanks mjm for all the spport and encouragement.

Raining here too! I am slowly coming around to the eating slowly but DO leave food on my plate. At first it was because of PMK rules but now am finding myself doing it because I'm actually feeling full. also feel as if i've got more energy these days. Have a lovely day & keep up the good work, everyone!!

Glorious day here for the first May day in Yonks. Getting used to 'thinking thin' is quite a challenge for me having just started. BUT am focusing on not eating when not hungry which has been my problem up till now. Finishing a meal after OH has been arelevation for us both!!!! Even that is making me feel good. Can't get to grips with leaving food on my plate. Should I deliberately give a larger portion so I can leave some? Seems mad to me.
Sorry for all you girls in the wet, but maybe its shining in your hearts.
